The Randy Jackson look alike is leaving The X Factor
December 13th, 2012 under American Idol 9+. [ Comments: none ]

The American version of The X Factor can’t keep a judge on the show, who isn’t the singing competition’s creator, because the only other original is leaving the show. First Cheryl Cole was fired before the show even debuted last year. Then after the first season was done, so were Paula Abdul and Nicole Scherzinger. The second’s season panel consisted of returning judges Simon Cowell and LA Reid, and newcomers Britney Spears and Demi Lovato. When the show returns next fall, at least one of them won’t be there. When the Randy Jackson clone was asked if he would be back, he told Access Hollywood, “I have decided that I will not to return to The X Factor next year.” He then explained, “I have to go back. I have a company to run that I have kind of neglected. It saddens me a little bit, but only a little bit.” My translation of that, I thought the show was going to make more well known and give me a few more great artists and it hasn’t done neither, so I will go back to where I am true success.
What do you think of his departure? Will you miss him? Or were you like who is he? Or was it that show is still on the air? And it is coming back for another season?

Words of Wizdumb from Simon Cowell!
November 26th, 2012 under American Idol 9+, Simon Cowell, Words of Wizdumb. [ Comments: none ]

Simon Cowell is known for his mouth, but that might be changing with some Words of Wizdumb he got on Thanksgiving. The King of Mean Tweeted, “I went to a thanksgiving party and someone told me to listen rather than talk. You have two ears and one mouth. Very good advice.” Does anyone really think he will actually be able to listen people as compared to critiquing them? I mean he never misses an opportunity to shoot his mouth off about anything and everything. Plus that is his bread and butter, what else does he have? A hairy chest? Moobs? His hair? Tight shirts? Nah, he will stick with what he does best, talking!

Kid Rock wants to punch Simon Cowell
November 15th, 2012 under American Idol 9+, Simon Cowell. [ Comments: none ]

Kid Rock was on Howard Stern‘s radio show yesterday and he said he wants to punch Simon Cowell in the face. Pamela Anderson’s ex said he is sick of The X Factor judge acting like he is the best A&R guy in the world, so he wants to physically show him he feels about it. So far the two have never met, and I kind of hope they do soon. Is it wrong I want to see if Rock will actually make his words a reality? I doubt he would, but you never know. So Simon let’s find out if he is serious and have him on your Fox singing competition before the season ends. It would greatly improve the ratings because people would tune in to see what/if anything he would do to you when he meets you in person. My gut says he will like you so much that you will go out for a drink afterwards and become fast friends, but then again I could be wrong.

Simon Cowell silences himself!
November 8th, 2012 under American Idol 9+, Simon Cowell. [ Comments: none ]

For almost decade all a lot of us have wanted to do was silence Simon Cowell and now Verizon has him to doing it to himself! X marked the spot with duct tape on his mouth factor and the singing contestants of the world sang out a note of relief. I betcha that Demi Lovato wished it was her doing it and I bet in a way he was hoping it would be her too.

Arrow shoots and scores a full season pick up!
October 22nd, 2012 under American Idol 9+. [ Comments: none ]

The CW has told one of their new shows what their future holds and for Arrow it is great news! The show’s star Stephen Amell broke the news by Tweeting, “Best way to start a Monday? Getting picked up for your back nine episodes. Thwick. #Arrow” The news comes as no surprise as the DC Comics adaptation kept most of its audience during its second week and I am sure it will only grow from here on out.
Arrow joins Fox’s Ben and Kate and The Mindy Project, and NBC’s Go On, Revolution and The New Normal as the first freshman shows the networks picked up for the season. CBS and ABC have yet to pick up any news shows, although CBS had the first cancelled show of the season.
Meanwhile over at Fox, they are singing the praises of The X Factor by renewing that show for a third season. No word which judges will be back, but I highly doubt Britney Spears will be returning to the show. Maybe they can get Lindsay Lohan to fill her seat.

UPDATE: Renewing shows isn’t only happening on broadcast TV, because Showtime renewed the Emmy winning Homeland for a third season.
