In 2014, Clay Aiken shocked the world when we discovered he fathered a son with David Foster’s sister, Jaymes. And I don’t think we ever saw their child.
That is all going to change tonight at 8p on Celebrity Family Feud. The American Idol singer is going to compete against David Foster and Katharine McPhee, and he brought his son, Parker, and his mom. So it is really more the Fosters vs the Fosters, as compared to Aiken vs Foster.
But that is neither here nor there. Let’s talk about how big Parker is!
Remember when American Idol started in 2002, Simon Cowell, Paula Abdul, and Randy Jackson were the judges and Ryan Seacrest was the host? Well, it almost wasn’t that way.
Today, when Seacrest was on The Kelly Clarkson Show, the first American Idol asked him if it was true he was almost a judge on the singing competition.
“Originally, when the producers, Nigel [Lythgoe] and Ken [Warwick], were setting up the show, they heard me on the radio here in Los Angeles, and they thought I might fit the panel to be up there with whoever else was already on,” he told Clarkson. “Wait, a minute. I would love to audition to be the host. And I auditioned eventually to be the host. And I got the job.”
And 21 years later. He still has the job. And he might not still have it if he were a judge instead of a host.
Could you imagine him as a judge? I can’t. So I am happy it didn’t happen.
And can we talk about how Taylor Hicks looks exactly the same? But then again, he looked like an old man back then too.
Jennifer Hudson might not have even come close to winning American Idol, but she has a title that is better than that. She is one of 17 people who has won an Emmy, a Grammy, an Oscar, and a Tony.
The actress earned the EFOT title yesterday when she won the latter for producing Best Musical A Strange Loop.
Hudson started her journey to this title when she won the Oscar for Dreamgirls in 2007. She followed that up with two Grammys. And last year, she won a Daytime Emmy for producing the Outstanding Interactive Media for a Daytime Program Baby Yaya.
While Hudson has earned the title, I am not sure if I totally agree. I mean, are Daytime Emmys really the same thing?
Nina Dobrev was aching for some clay, so she went to a resort. As she was covering herself with clay, she had a thought.
That thought was, “do you guys ever think about what happened to Clay Aiken? I think about him all the time…”
I wonder what her boyfriend Shaun White thinks about that? Actually, I wonder what the American Idol contestant thinks about that? When was the last time someone mentioned him on social media?
Actually, we were talking about him last month when Clay Aiken announced that he was running for Congress. Maybe, the Degrassi star could help get him some votes.
Back to the Vampire Diaries star, I really want to know why she thinks about Clay Aiken all of the time. There has to be an interesting explanation.
Jennifer Hudson turned the big 4-0 yesterday, and Madame Tussauds New York gave her the best gift. They gave her herself. As in, a wax version of the Oscar winner.
They did such a good job; I can’t tell which one is real and which one is the life-sized figure.
