Steven Yeun was on Jimmy Kimmel Live! yesterday and he told the ABC late night host about one of the times he was recognized by a fan of The Walking Dead.
Yeun’s brother was having stomach issues, so his doctor recommended he get a Colonoscopy and that actor should get one too. So before the doctor started, he asked Yeun what he does for a living and he told him that he works on the hit AMC show. Then when they started the doctor asked his assistants if anyone in the room watched The Walking Dead, and one of the guys did. That fan couldn’t hold back his excitement, only problem was they had already started the procedure.
I think he would rather face Zombies than go through that again.
Could you imagine smelling like a rotting corpse or a sweaty human? Thankfully you won’t have to because Walking Dead’s creator Robert Kirkman took an axe to the brains of that idea. He also told Conan O’Brien that he killed the plans for an Energy Drink based on the comic book turned top-rated drama. I wonder what other products they want to cross promote with the Zombie show? Scratch that, I don’t want to know if they are two of the ideas he said no to.
Christmas is just 329 days away, but that isn’t stopping Bryan Cranston from dressing like Santa Claus today. So is he breaking the bad tradition of waiting until at least Halloween before you get into the holiday spirit? Nope as he explained on Twitter “Sunday night at the SAG Awards… Prada Monday morning on the set… Santa”.
So even though he isn’t starting a new tradition of getting into the Christmas spirit in January, how long will it be until someone makes it that way? I say next year, what about you?
Even though AMC cancelled The Killing, they have decided to change their mind and bring it back. According to Variety neither the network or the studio will confirm the news, but the show runner and the executive producer have returned to work to start working on season 3. The once cancelled show is expected to be back on AMC in May and then Netflix will post it afterwards. Although negotiations have not been finalized with the online movie source.
Even though I gave up on the show after season 1, I always love stories where an axed show gets a second life!
BTW I wonder how many more shows Netflix can and will save. Maybe they can bring Last Resort or Partners back to life?
Once Upon a Time there was a boy named Jared Gilmore who lived among Mad Men and he had a very evil mother. One day he was given the chance to leave her and go from the land of AMC to the world of ABC, so he jumped at the offer where he would get not one but two very beautiful and nice women to be his mom. But his absence would not go unnoticed so he was replaced by another little boy. Well a man by the name of Keck asked little Jared if he had words of wisdom for his replacement and he said, “Be careful around January [Jones]. She’s not as approachable as the others. She’s really serious about what she does. Everyone else is so nice.”
So now Jared is living happily ever after in a fairytale brought beautifully into modern day called Once Upon a Time on ABC starting on October 23rd. When you see his tale unfold you will know that little boy made the right decision to leave his unapproachable mother.
Serious note: I saw Jared Gilmore at the ABC TCA Summer Press Tour Day talk about his new show and he is a cute and witty little boy who is smart beyond years. So don’t hold his diplomatic advice about his former TV mom turn you against him.
