Soldier Boy has been a favorite with fans of The Boys, so it makes sense that he will get his own series.
Prime Video announced today Jensen Ackles will star in Vought Rising, the prequel to The Boys.
“We are excited to bring you the next deranged series from the world of The Boys. It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought. We cannot wait to blow your minds and trouble your souls with this salacious, grisly saga drenched in blood and Compound V,” said executive producer Eric Kripke and series showrunner and executive producer Paul Grellong.
I am super excited for this because I like asshole Jensen!
Today, the season finale of The Boys dropped on Prime Video, and it came with a warning.
It reads: “Viewer discretion advised.
“This episode contains scenes of fictional political violence.
Any similarities to recent events are completely coincidental and unintentional.
“Prime Video, Amazon MGM Studios, Sony Pictures Television and the producers of The Boys oppose, in the strongest terms, real-world violence of any kind.”
This warning was added due to Donald Trump being “shot” on Saturday. Even though the episode was filmed in 2023, it is not like The Boys is not The Simpsons, and it doesn’t predict real-life events. Or did it?
It has been eight years since we got to know the naughty, talking food at Shopwell supermarket in Sausage Party. And on July 11th, they are back with a series on Prime Video.
Today, they released the first trailer for the show. And I can’t wait for the adult animated show to hit the airwaves because it looks so wrong. And that is what makes it highlarious.
Seth Rogen, Kristen Wiig, Michael Cera, David Krumholtz, Edward Norton, Will Forte, Sam Richardson, Natasha Rothwell, and Yassir Lester lend their voices to the politically incorrect comedy.
The Boys’ fourth season will debut on Prime Video on June 13th, but today, we learned something about the fifth season.
We thought that Homelander was indestructible, but it turns out he has his own Kryptonite. However, his is called Kripke, as in the series’ creator, Eric Kripke.
Kripke announced today, “Season 5 will be the Final Season! Always my plan, I just had to be cagey till I got the final OK from Vought. Thrilled to bring the story to a gory, epic, moist climax. Watch Season 4 in 2 DAYS, cause the end has begun!”
As upset as I am that the anti-superhero program is ending, I am OK with his decision. I think had the show gone on much longer, the quality would have depleted.
Are you going to miss The Boys? Don’t forget we still have two more seasons to watch before the series finale.
My friend and I have a joke about how Jeopardy smart we are. She says she is Celebrity Jeopardy smart, and I tell her I am Elementary School Jeopardy smart. However, those fifth graders are smarter than me. So I could be wrong.
Anyways, in a few months, we can say we are Pop Culture Jeopardy smart. That is because Prime Video is launching a Jeopardy that is all about Pop Culture.
Pop Culture Jeopardy! is a brand-new twist on the classic quiz show’s “answer-and-question” format that combines the academic rigor of Jeopardy! with the excitement and unpredictability of pop culture. Contestants, playing in teams of three, will need to be experts in categories from Alternative Rock to The Avengers; Broadway to MMA; Gen Z to Zendaya as they compete in a tournament-style event for the grand prize and ultimate bragging rights.
“We couldn’t be more thrilled to collaborate with our partners at Amazon to make Prime Video the home for our new Jeopardy! spinoff series,” said Suzanne Prete, President, Game Shows, Sony Pictures Television. “With Michael Davies at the helm, Pop Culture Jeopardy! is going to be a nail biter for game show enthusiasts who can expect to see teams competing at the highest level of Jeopardy! combined with a fresh twist of pop culture Olympics for the mind…it’s going to be a must-watch for long-time viewers and new fans alike.”
What is, I will be watching!
Another thing I will be watching on Prime Video is The Boys, season 5. That is right, the Superhero series was picked up for another season before this one starts streaming on June 13th.
That is not all. Elle Woods is back with a Legally Blonde prequel series.
Elle follows Elle Woods in high school as we learn about the life experiences that shaped her into the iconic young woman we came to know and love in the first Legally Blonde film.
“I truly couldn’t be more excited about this series! Fans will get to know how Elle Woods navigated her world as a teenager with her distinct personality and ingenuity, in ways that only our beloved Elle could do. What could be better than that?! I’m extremely grateful to the incredible teams at Prime Video and Hello Sunshine – along with our amazing writer Laura Kittrell – for making this dream of mine come true. Legally Blonde is back!,” said Reese Witherspoon.
Finally, Prime Video announced which celebrities are competing on Are You Smarter Than Celebrity? Travis Kelce will be finding out if the contestants are smarter than comedians Nikki Glaser, Natasha Leggero, Nicole Byer, and Ron Funches; Thursday Night Football analyst Ryan Fitzpatrick; former NFL wide receiver Chad Ochocinco; Real Housewife of Beverly Hills’ Garcelle Beauvais; Vanderpump Rules star Lala Kent; podcaster Sophia Stallone; and actress and producer Lilly Singh.
