Do these ads make your pants wet?
June 8th, 2012 under Ads. [ Comments: 1 ]

via Daily Mail
Harvey Nichols came up with these ads that has the model so excited about wearing their pants, they wet them. I don’t know what the freak were thinking when they approved these advertisements because seeing people in pants with urine stains, does not make me want to go and buy them.
Although if you subscribe to theory that there is no such thing as bad publicity, then what they did was smart because they are getting tons of that with these posters.
I mean this Yank was checking out the British companies website. So do you think their idea was a pisser or all wet?

Who are they are trying to sell ShowStoppsters to?
April 16th, 2012 under Ads. [ Comments: none ]

So Jamie Kennedy Tweeted a link to the commercial for ShowStoppers and I couldn’t believe what I was seeing. At first I thought it was a parody ad on all the stupid infomercial ads that are out there, but then I did an internet search and found out the product is real. Even if the peek-a-boobs they are stopping from showing are not.
Seriously who are they are trying to sell the tape to? Women will be turned off by the ad that they won’t buy it. Men will like watching the commercial, but they are not going to buy something that will prevent them from seeing any boobage. So who exactly will buy it from that ad? I mean I am the same cup size as the creator, but I won’t buy ShowStoppers after that commercial. They need to go back to the drawing board, come up with something that will stick and then maybe I will consider getting her invention.
And don’t get me started on the announcer.
Now having said all of that, why can’t I stop watching one of the worst commercials ever made? It gets worse with each viewing.

Mean Joe Green recreates his legendary coke commercial during the Super Bowl
February 3rd, 2012 under Ads, Super Bowl. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 1979 Mean Joe Green did a Super Bowl commercial for Coca Cola that is still talked about today. So 33 years later Downy is recreating it with the football legend himself for the their new product Unstoppables to air during the big game and it is brilliant. You know everyone is talking about how Matthew Broderick reprised his role as Ferris Bueller for Honda, but I think this is a much better coup with an ending that doesn’t stink.
Isn’t it crazy that except for a few grey hairs the 65 year old Defensive Tackle hasn’t aged a day since he played football professionally? Watch the original Coke commercial below and I dare you to tell me doesn’t look the same.

Arf Wars Strikes Back
February 2nd, 2012 under Ads, Animals, Star Wars. [ Comments: none ]

Two weeks ago Volkswagen released an ad with several dogs barking the Star Wars theme and now they released one with a dog being watched by aliens in at bar called The Dog Strikes Back. Personally I loved the Super Bowl commercial until they brought the bar scene in, although they had a great ending that left me gasping for air.

Oh yeah, chick chicka chicka! Ferris Bueller is back!
January 30th, 2012 under Ads. [ Comments: none ]

Last week we were teased with the Super Bowl ad featuring Ferris Bueller and today we are seeing the full length commercial with Bueller as Matthew Broderick. The actor slipped back into the role that made infamous for the new Honda CR-V and it is all types of awesomeness. Yes it would have been better if Rooney played his agent, Cameron and Sloane were involved somehow, his mother (who looks better now) was the one talking on the phone to him in the car and Charlie Sheen played the valet, but it was still pretty freaking incredible especially the ending.
Honda says that there are at least two dozen references to Ferris Bueller’s Day Off in the commercial, see how many you can get and list them in the comments?
BTW I faster believe that Matthew Broderick would drive a Honda CR-V anywhere in the world than I would believe J-Lo Fiat in The Bronx or anywhere else.
You’re still here, still reading this post…
