The Great Halloween Fright Fight is spooktacular!
October 28th, 2014 under ABC, Halloween. [ Comments: none ]

The Great Halloween Fright Fight tricks its way on to ABC tonight at 8p and you don’t want to miss this treat.
If you are like me, then you love how people decorate their houses Halloween. Well, ABC found six families throughout the US who take decorating their homes to a whole new level. One family built a facade outside of their house that looks like the real deal and another family took over several acres of land at a guy’s farm to create their nightmare house. One place is made to look like a pirate ship and another one is taken over by spiders. Finally, the last house took a lot of guts to make, and I do mean a lot of guts. Only one house can be the winner of the $50,000 prize, but if it were up to me they would all win.
Even though Halloween is supposed to be scary, this show leaves with you a smile on your face because it is so positive. That is largely because the judges, Michael Moloney and Sabrina Soto, are like big children as they tour the Halloween horror houses, especially when they see the terrifying clowns. There are clowns, lots and lots of frightening clowns.
I truly wish that there was more than one episode for this show because I would love to see even more haunting houses than the ones we see tonight. Maybe next they will expand this show into even more episodes.

The book is closed on Manhattan Love Story
October 24th, 2014 under ABC. [ Comments: none ]

The first new show of the season to be pulled off the air is ABC’s Manhattan Love Story according to Entertainment Weekly. The RomCom sitcom had a sweet first episode, but then just fell a little flat.
I think the problem with this show is there didn’t seem to be much chemistry between Analeigh Tipton and Jake McDorman. There was just something that didn’t connect between them and I think because of that people didn’t connect with the show.
My biggest problem with is my own issue, I couldn’t stand McDorman’s beard. I know that sounds stupid; but his blonde beard was so thin, I couldn’t tell if he had one or not. So I would watch the episode looking for it. It’s my thing, but I am sure there were other people who were turned off by something so frivolous.
I will say something positive, I think that Tipton is star in the making. She will go far because she is like a young Meg Ryan, cute and so likeable.
So, what will ABC be replacing MLS with? Next week they are airing The Great Halloween Fright Fight and the following week they will double up on Selfie, which is quickly becoming one of my favorite shows on television.
ABC has a few sitcoms in the wings and I can’t wait for you guys to see the warm and fuzzy Fresh Off the Boat and the brilliant Galavant. Both shows are great additions to ABC’s lineup that has already proven to have gotten a lot of things right this season.
Finally, the reason why I am saying this is the first show to be pulled off the air because technically the unfunny Mulaney was the first shirt cancelled. Fox halted production on the show permanently last week. Why they are still airing that piece of smelly crap is beyond me.

ABC wants more from 7 shows!
October 24th, 2014 under ABC. [ Comments: none ]

ABC announced today that they want more episodes from seven of their shows according to Variety. All of the Wednesday night comedies, The Middle, The Goldbergs, Modern Family and blask-ish, will all now be doing 24 episodes instead of 22 as will Grey’s Anatomy. Castle will be doing 23 and Resurrection is now filming 14 episodes instead of 13.
Now all ABC has to do is ask for more 9 more episodes from Forever and Selfie and I will be very happy with them.

Selfie made a Renee Zellweger joke just hours after her face broke!
October 22nd, 2014 under ABC, Renee Zellweger. [ Comments: none ]

The big story yesterday was how different Renee Zellweger looks and Selfie already had a joke about it. That’s right, ABC’s best new fall comedy, predicted what the joke of the day was going to be weeks before anyone else did.
Eliza (Karen Gillan) went over to Charmonique’s (Da’Vine Joy Randolph) house to help her get ready for her high school reunion, and the phone addict had some sage advice for her friend who was thinking of looking radically different for the big event. She said, “I understand that instinct. But when you completely reinvent your look, you run the risk of people not knowing who the hell you are, i.e. Renee Zellweger, who still looks good.” Then Charmonique added, “But doesn’t look a damn thing like Miss Renee Zellweger. I see what you mean.”
Who knew the writers of this genius show were psychic. We knew they had their finger on the social media pulse, but who knew they would know what the big story of the day would be before even the day knew what it was going to be? Kind of Nostradamusy.
And that, is why, you need to be watching this show, so that you know what is going to happen before it even happens. Well after, but you know what I mean.
Seriously, you should be watching this sitcom because it is sweet, funny and so relatable. The Voice is been there, seen that, same with NCIS, so why not try something new and exciting like Selfie on Tuesdays at 8p. I promise you will love it as much as Eliza Dooley loves herself.
And talking about loving herself, People had a face to face chat with Renee Zellweger. To read what she said, then click here!

Nathan Fillion is a pretty fairy!
October 20th, 2014 under ABC, Nathan Fillion. [ Comments: none ]

Every Monday night at 10p on ABC, we get to see Nathan Fillion play the macho crime writer Castle. It looks like we are going to see a softer side of him coming up on the procedural. Finally, the Firefly star has earned his wings and a tiara too!
Hopefully, this will be his new style from now on because he is due for a change. I mean, how many episodes can he wear a sports jacket, button down shirt and loose pants? He totally needs a makeover. Who wants to see his style begin a new chapter?
