ABC announced today that they asked Cristela for the back 9 episodes. The sitcom has been doing OK on Friday nights, and actually is a good fit with Last Man Standing.
The show’s comedy felt a little forced when it first started, but it has really found its voice. I can’t wait to see what else they bring us by the end of the season.
Steve Harvey asked Anthony, “You never want to shake hands with someone right after they do what?” The 16 year old excitingly told the Family Feud host, “Masturbate!” His proud family gave him high fives, hugs and told him good answer as the audience stood up to show how thrilled they were with the answer.
So was his good answer on the board? Shockingly, no. What’s up or should I say down with that? I know I wouldn’t want to shake hands with someone who just finished shaking himself. Would you?
The good news is that ABC picked up Forever for a full season, the bad news is that they are not ordering the back nine episodes from Selfie.
Forever is a great procedural that is made even better due to the sweet chemistry between Judd Hirsch and his TV dad, Ioan Gruffudd. Out of all the new cop dramas this one is by far the best.
When it comes to Selfie, the pilot was OK. But every episode after that has proven to be precious gems. In fact, their episode Nuggets of Wisdom is still the best 30 minutes of television this season so far. I really hope this darling show finds another network to air on because it is so deserving. I also wish more people found it when it was on, but it had tough competition from the get go. Selfie was up against the #1 drama NCIS, the #1 reality show The Voice and The CW’s #1 show The Flash, it never really had a chance. I wish ABC would’ve given it more of one and waited to pair it with the cute family comedy Fresh Off the Boat.
When it comes to cast (especially Da’Vine Joy Randolph), I really hope that they all wind up on a new show soon. That is if this one doesn’t find a new home to air their new episodes. Someone please pick up Selfie, please please please!
Tonight at 8p, we get not one but two very enjoyable episodes of Selfie to enjoy on ABC!
On the first episode, Eliza (Karen Gillan) and Henry (John Cho) go on their first trip together. Not a romantic one, but to their boss’ (David Harewood) estate in Santa Barbara right next to Oprah Winfrey’s compound. Henry is beyond excited for this weekend retreat because he is convinced he is going to there to a get a promotion. But when Eliza gets an invite too, he is convinced she is his +1. Something she doesn’t take too kindly to. So why was she invited? And what havoc will she bring to the Saperstein’s residence? Will she be the only one bringing it on while she is there or will Henry finally let loose?
Then at 8:30p, Eliza decides she want to get the very uptight Henry laid. She gets Charmonique (Da’Vine Joy Randolph) to help her out, a task that proves a lot harder than they thought. Will they be able to get him something something, or will he remain frustrated?
You MUST tune in for these delightful episodes to find out and to keep this sweet sweet show alive. Selfie is the best new show that ABC gave us in the fall, so let’s keep it going until to the spring, and the next fall and so on.

Boo! ABC is all Halloween, all the time tonight and you don’t want to miss a single spooky episode!
At 8p, the words you never thought you would hear, you are going to hear on The Middle. Brick (Atticus Shaffer) decides he doesn’t want to go Trick or Treating because he has a date with a living girl! How will that go? Just as you would expect.
But the episode isn’t only about him, Axl has a paper due and he hasn’t even started it. So his parents (Patricia Heaton and Neil Flynn) tell him to go to a place called the library. A place he is not familiar with and he doesn’t even know where this strange building is. Once he finds it, he finds the perfect place to work on his paper. Only problem is he spent too much time on it and now he is locked in there. How will he do spending his first night alone? Let’s just say Charlie McDermott gives his best performance yet. There are several moments where you will be laughing so hard that you will have candy corn coming out of your nose.

Then at 8:30p, Pops (George Segal) moves in with The Goldbergs. Murray (Jeff Garlin) doesn’t want it, but like what he says matters to Beverly (Wendi McLendon-Covey). Pops moving in, has a deep impact on the relationship between Adam (Sean Giambrone) and his mom. Something that they are still dealing with to this day.
Then there is Barry (Troy Gentile) who saves his sister, Erica (Hayley Orrantia)from eating Pop Rocks and drinking soda at the same time. Now, she owes him for saving her life and you’ll never believe what he wants. Will he get it?
At 9p, it is time for another Halloween episode of Modern Family and it is Awesomeland!
Phil (Ty Burrell) wants to decorate the house like it is Awesomeland; but when Claire (Julie Bowen) finds out her new neighbors are having a scariest house contest, she redecorates. Phil is not happy about it.
Lily (Aubrey Anderson-Emmons) is mad that Cam (Eric Stonestreet) shows up in the wrong costume to her school and then ditches her school’s parade to go to work. Will she forgive her dad?
And did I mention Jay’s (Ed O’Neill) costume includes hair! That is enough reason to tune in.
Finally, ABC saved the best for last with Black-ish. Dre (Anthony Anderson) loves to prank his family, but this year they have had enough. He can’t handle his kids turning away from his pranking ways and it only gets worse for him when they tell him they won’t dress up in a family costume. Will he finally get the Halloween he wants or is his holiday ruined?
You just have to tune in for four great spooktacular episodes to fond out!
