Seriously? OMG! WTF?

That’s "V" as in the letter "V," not the Roman numeral for "five." Otherwise, I guess the sequel would be "VI."
Now, the original V aired when I was about seven, so I never watched much of the original miniseries, or the TV series that followed. It’s not like I couldn’t have watched it as a seven year old, but I was kind of a wuss when I was a kid and those scary lizard people were too much for me. If any of you would like to go back in time and heckle me as a seven year old, feel free to do that. Seriously, that kid needs some toughening up.
So anyway, TV Filter hepped me to information about a possible miniseries sequel to the original series, helmed by original writer and director Kenneth Johnson. Right now it seems they’re trying to secure the finances needed to do the series, but before that happens you’ll be able to purchase the novel based on Johnson’s screenplay by early 2007. According to the IMDb trivia page for V – The Second Generation, several original cast members have signed on to the project, including Robert "Freddy Krueger" Englund. This is IMDb, so I don’t necessarily trust the information completely, but if all of this turns out to be true, it could be a very cool thing for fans of the series.

Tiffany — what a great voice."The ’80s, says Lauper, were "a very creative time. People did wild things."There were the bad hairdos and tacky moments, but people had the courage to have a bad hairdo. The fashion police meant nothing to us then."

Former child model BROOKE SHIELDS is bitter she never got to experience a proper childhood, because adulthood was thrust upon her at an early age. Shields remembers being used as an icon of sexuality before she was old enough to realise what it meant. She says, "I don’t think I ever really was a ‘child’ child. I was made into a sort of icon of sexuality, simultaneously thought of as the virgin, which I was, yet always on the cover of Vogue looking sexual and much older. Heavy metal rockers TWISTED SISTER are celebrating their 30th anniversary by releasing a collection of deranged holiday songs. The band is so intent on finishing their album in time for the Christmas season, they have cancelled all performances at European festivals this summer (06). The new album, A TWISTED CHRISTMAS, will feature a heavy metal take on holiday classics including DECK THE HALLS and O COME ALL YE FAITHFUL. The album is scheduled for release on 17 October (06).

Rocker ROD STEWART made sure things were above board at his daughter’s birthday bash last week (ends18JUN06) by making sure guests were legally allowed to drink. Stewart threw a party for his daughter RUBY’s 19th birthday at his home in Beverly Hills, inviting 300 of her closest friends. Since his daughter isn’t old enough to drink legally in the US, Stewart had security guards at the door checking identification. Only guests over 21-years-old were given wristbands that permitted them to drink alcoholic beverages. Underage guests had to settle for soft drinks. During the course of the evening Stewart personally patrolled the party in his bathrobe, interrupting groups to ask people, ‘How old are you?’, before double-checking their wristbands.
