The real Laverne & Shirley coming back to TV? |
| March 22nd, 2007 under 80s. [ Comments: 1 ]

| Pop Candy has this interesting story that Laverne & Shirley are coming back to TV on TV Land. But wait here is the milk and pepsi of the story, they are coming back as Penny Marshall and Cindy Williams. The loosely scripted pilot will be based on Cindy Williams moving in with Penny Marshall. No word if Lenny and Squiggy, or should I say Michael McKean and David Lander will be living in the attic? I would so watch this show, it is going to be hotter than The Simple Life.
What other shows would you like to see come back to TV like that? Mork & Mindy? The Golden Girls? Saved By The Bell? or my favorite Joanie Hates Chachi! You know me anything to get Scott Baio back on TV, that and we know how much Erin Moran and Scott Baio love each other!

Daily Mail posted the above picture of Tina Turner on October 16th looking…well…looking like sh!t.

And then today TMZ posted this picture of her looking amazing! Seriously what did she have done to herself since that first picture or should I say what she hasn't she done to herself since October 16th?
Seriously, can you believe she is 67 years old? In the top picture, heck yeah! On the bottom one, heck to the no!

Let’s Dance again with David Bowie! |

David Bowie is releasing a Eighties Greatest Hits Album, which is a bit of an oxymoron some cynical journalist will no doubt claim. The shape-shifter has collected together 19 of his favourite tracks recorded between 1980 and 1987 and has called them, perhaps unsurprisingly, ‘The Best Of 1980/87’. Together with a DVD of 15 videos the package will be shipped out en masse to record stocking emporiums so you can get your grubby little hands on them on 19 March.

This is so being added to my collection!!! Modern Love is one of my all time favorite songs!

| No More Kings’ “Sweep the Leg”
RetroCrush (they have an interview with Billy Zabka)
Make sure to watch the whole the thing because the ending is the best part!
He was the best of the ’80s bullies, don’t you think? I have to admit I had a crush on him way back when!
BTW I checked out William Zabka’s IMDB page and I forgot he has been doing a lot of straight-to-DVD horror movies that air on SciFi all the time! So if you want to see him tune into SciFi this weekend because one of his movies will probably be on!

Erasure have announced the details of their forthcoming album. ‘Light At The End of The World’ is due out in the UK on May 21, and in the US a day later. This is the twelfth studio album for the veteran electronic dance-pop duo. The 10-track album was recorded in Maine in a private home that was converted into a studio. Vince Clarke and Andy Bell worked with long-time producer Gareth Jones, who is also known for his work with Depeche Mode and Nick Cave. They wrote the album over a month’s time in the fall of last year. The album’s first single, ‘I Could Fall In Love With You’, is scheduled to be released on April 2.
