February 2nd, 2016 under Melissa McCarthy, Netflix, Revivals-Reboots

Last week, Netflix confirmed that they are bringing back Gilmore Girls for four more episodes. They also announced that Lauren Graham, Alexis Bledel, Scott Patterson, Kelly Bishop, Scott Gunn, and Keiko Agena will all be back, but what about the show’s most famous star Melissa McCarthy? Today, the lovable movie star and Emmy winner took to Twitter to answer if she is going to revisit Stars Hollow, and you are not going to like what she has to say. She said no one has asked her to put on Sookie’s apron again. I don’t know what the producers are thinking because she was my favorite person on the beloved drama. Without her, it just won’t be the same.
What do you think of her not being asked back?

Obviously they were afraid that a genuine movie star on set would make the other people feel insecure. No Sookie? Unacceptable.

I was wondering this just yesterday, and then realized that either she or the producers felt she was too big of a star to come back to the show. Bad move on their part. Also, they couldn’t bring back the one black person they had on the show (Yanic Truesdale)? Really?

God forbid quotas weren’t met for the small thinkers among us. Whew – can’t be outraged now. What are you going to do with the rest of your day?
