[ # ] CBS cancels most of its bubble shows, while The CW doesn’t
May 18th, 2010 under CBS, The CW

It was a massacre over at CBS because they cancelled Ghost Whisperer, Gary Unmarried, Accidentally on Purpose, New Adventures of Old Christine, Cold Case, Numb3rs and Miami Medical, but they did renew Medium and Rules of Engagement according to The Live Feed. I don’t get why they cancelled Ghost Whisperer because I thought it was still doing well in the ratings. Maybe it was getting too expensive and they need a lot more money than they did yesterday in order to pay Charlie Sheen. On that note, I had a feeling the sitcoms were going to get the ax when Charlie agreed to stay with Two and a Half Men and they had picked up two new sitcoms yesterday. They needed to make room for the new ones, but that doesn’t mean I am OK with it. I really liked Gary and Accidentally. I didn’t watch Old Christine, but now that Modern Family and Glee are on the air I doubt that Julia Louis-Dreyfus was going to get her annual Emmy nom. When it comes to Cold Case, about freaking time. Numb3rs and Miami Medicine are not surprises. BTW did I mention how pissed I am that Ghost Whisperer got cancelled? Although the show lost its way when it killed Jim and then brought him back, it was still a great show. When it comes to Medium, I hope it finds its way again next season because it hasn’t been nearly as good on CBS as it was on NBC. And what does David Spade on the CBS execs because that is the only explanation I can come up with they renewed the show. It is there new Yes, Dear.
Now the news was better over at The CW because they picked up both One Tree Hill and Life Unexpected according to The Live Feed. There were rumors only one was coming back next season, but that is no longer the case because both of them will be back.
