Remember when Freedom 250 announced the musical acts for The Great American State Fair at the National Mall, and we laughed when the artists were ’90s acts like C+C Music Factory and Milli Vanilli. Then almost all of them cancelled.
So donald trump decided to cancel all the bands and announced that he would hold a rally instead.
Well, today John Schneider announced that he will be performing at the National Mall in Washington, D.C., on July 8th.
The actor wrote, “I am honored to be performing at The Great American State Fair presented by Freedom 250.” At least someone is honored about that.
And you thought algae and American blue paint are the only things rising up from the Reflecting Pool. It turns out John Schneider was also down there because how else can you explain how far down the has-been list they had to go down to in order to book him. Who is next: Scott Baio, Kelly Osbourne, Heidi Montag, or Pat Boone?
BTW Schneider is playing four days after Independence Day. So almost all of the tourists will have gone home by then. Therefore, he will be playing to a tiny crowd. But he should be used to that by now.
Before Tim Allen owned an auto shop on Switching Gears, he was buying a Cutlass Supreme from The Old Connection. He has come a long way since he was 30 years old in that 1984 commercial.
Top Gun has been exciting audiences for almost 40 years, and now those fans can recreate their favorite moment from the movie as though they were Maverick or Goose.
Hot Wheels is releasing a set dedicated to the film in honor of the milestone. According to Mattel Creation, “They can recreate the famous inverted flight combat scene. Locked in and ready to rock, this authentic display showcases Maverick and Goose expertly performing the “impossible” as they invert their F-14 Tomcat over an enemy “MiG-28” (behind-the-scenes movie trivia – there’s no such fighter jet, it was actually a repainted F-5 Tiger). The wings move on our F-14, authentically replicating the real jet’s swing-wing design. Aviators, don’t just watch the birdie – become one of the elite and grab this 40th anniversary tribute collectible for yourself.”
The limited-edition Hot Wheels Top Gun 40th Anniversary Set will be available on July 23rd. So, if you have the need for speed, don’t act slowly if you want this set, or you will be Iced out.
Ricky Gervais is a cat dad, even though he works a lot with dogs. However, he has a new show on Netflix that will make his master happy.
What is it? Alley Cats is an adult animated sitcom created by and starring the multi-award-winning Gervais. The series follows the trials and tribulations of a group of feral British cats from all walks of society, who seek companionship while ruminating on everyday life. From the funny to the absurd, the series is packed with Gervais’ signature style of heart and social commentary that audiences have come to expect.
I am sure his late cat, Ollie, and foster fail, Pickle, influenced the characters.
If my cat was going to trust anyone to make an animated show correctly, it would be Gervais. So, we will be watching all six episodes when they drop on August 7th.
I wonder why he didn’t do nine. It seems like that would be the purrfect number of episodes.
