Trump hasn’t gotten The View cancelled…yet
August 23rd, 2025 under The View. [ Comments: none ]

After CBS cancelled The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, Trump thinks he can get other shows axed like The View. Well, just like the Wizard of Oz, he is not that powerful.

The television free ticketing site, 1iota, is giving away tickets to the show’s 29th season with Whoopi Goldberg, Joy Behar, Sunny Hostin, Sara Haines, Alyssa Farah Griffin, and Ana Navarro starting on September 8th.

The ABC daily talk show is so popular that almost all of the tapings, which are available to get tickets for, are sold out. So, it is still very popular with the populous.

Not only is it popular with people, but it is also popular with celebrities and politicians. Here are some of the upcoming guests: America Ferrera, Barbara Corcoran, Daymond John, Eli Manning, Emma Heming Willis, Glen Powell, Gloria Estefan, Joe Manchin, John Edward, Justice Sonia Sotomayor, Lily James, Marlon Wayans, Matthew McConaughey, Michael Urie, Priscilla Presley, Regina Hall, Robin Wright, and Tim Allen.

1iota also has tickets available for The Kelly Clarkson Show starting on September 10th.

Showtime does to Dexter: Original Sin what Dexter does to serial killers
August 22nd, 2025 under Showtime. [ Comments: none ]

Showtime picked up Dexter: Original Sin for a second season in April. But that was before Skydance took over Paramount. Now that they have, Variety is reporting that the show will not be getting a second season after all.

While the prequel about young Dexter Morgan in 1991 is wrapped in a plastic sheet, the sequel, Dexter: Resurrection, with Michael C. Hall, is very much alive…for now. Even though new episodes are still being dropped weekly, the writers’ room will be opening soon for season 2.

How far will Amy go to get her memory back on Doc?
August 22nd, 2025 under Fox. [ Comments: none ]

Doc was Fox’s surprise hit of last season. Therefore, we have been waiting to find out what happens next for Dr. Amy Larsen, who lost eight years of her memory after suffering a head injury during a car crash.

This season, Amy will continue to confront hard truths about her missing years, work to repair fractured relationships, and seek to reconcile the person she used to be with the one everyone else has come to know. Determined to get her memory back and piece together who she really is, Amy’s goal is to become the doctor she used to be in those missing years and to eventually, once again, be Chief of Internal Medicine.

In the interim, her ex-husband/Westside Hospital’s Chief Medical Officer, DR. MICHAEL HAMDA (Omar Metwally), fills the position with Amy’s former mentor and friend, DR. JOAN RIDLEY (Felicity Huffman), whose motives and priorities remain hidden, just as long as Amy still can’t recall Joan’s life-changing secret. Amy’s best friend and colleague, DR. GINA WALKER (Amirah Vann), is weary of Joan’s motives and continues to be a beacon of support for those around her, while finally learning to put on her own oxygen mask first.

While re-learning eight years of medical advancements is complicated, it pales in comparison to learning to navigate her new/old/current romantic entanglements. Amy continues to fight her feelings and let Michael go, especially now with the birth of his son with his new wife, bringing up emotions for both Amy and their daughter, KATIE HAMDA (Charlotte Fountain-Jardim).

Amy’s on-again, off-again relationship with Chief Resident DR. JAKE HELLER (Jon Ecker) is a bit more delicate as he struggles to protect his heart from her this time around. However, DR. SONYA MAITRA (Anya Banerjee) would only be too glad to pick up the pieces, navigating the balance between her feelings for Jake and her complicated resentment towards Amy.

I have to admit, I have resentment towards the producers for casting Huffman. I am still not over the college admissions scandal. Just seeing her in the trailer makes me not want to watch. Do you feel like I do?

Doc premieres September 23rd on Fox.

Oh Lord! Peacemaker is back with a new dance number!!!
August 22nd, 2025 under DC Comics, John Cena. [ Comments: none ]

As much as I love Peacemaker the series on HBO Max, I love the opening dance number even more.

We have waited three years to see how they were going to top what they did with Wig Wam’s Do Ya Wanna Taste It. And the time is finally upon us.

What James Gunn had them do to Foxy Shazam’s Oh Lord, was good, it just was not as great! Because I miss the guy with the mop!

Having said that, it is still the best opening credits on television today. I challenge you to tell me one that is better!

I wish the networks would bring back theme songs!

Oh, and what comes after the intro to the Superhero show is just as fucking awesome!!!
