There is an Atlanta Falcons player named Michael Penix Jr. With a last name like that, you know that is going to cause problems for chyron operators in news departments. And that is exactly what happened to WTOC in Savannah.
I am not sure if that person writing his name into the chyron misheard the surname or if muscle memory caused him to do it, but the last name appeared as Penis on the screen.
So whatever way it happened, I am glad it did. Because seeing the word penis during a newscast will always be funny, that is, unless their last name is Penix, and they have heard that joke their whole lives.
Donald Trump took over the Kennedy Center and turned the premiere performing arts center into a shitty one. Therefore, celebrities have been walking away from it in droves.
Earlier this week, Mr. Orange held a press conference and revealed who will be honored at this year’s Kenney Centers, and they are George Strait, KISS, Michael Crawford, Gloria Gaynor, and Sylvester Stallone. Not only that, he said he will be hosting the event later this year.
After the announcement, fans of the I Will Survive singer have urged her to turn down the award. As of now, she has not said what she will do.
While her fate is still undecided, Tom Cruise’s is reportedly decided. According to what sources told The Washington Post, the actor turned down the honor due to “scheduling conflicts.”
Is that the real reason? We will never know because he is good at keeping his private life private.
While he does that, I will be thinking he turned it down because he wants nothing to do with this administration.
Ever since Lifetime cancelled Dance Moms in 2019, Abby Lee Miller has been trying to get the reality dancing show back on the network. She has even hinted that she was working on a sequel to the show.
Well, today, Lifetime announced that Dance Moms is coming back! That is the good news. The bad news for her is that she is not part of it.
Dance Moms: A New Era — the reboot of Lifetime’s pop culture phenomenon Dance Moms — introduces beloved dance coach, Glo Hampton, who wants to take her students and prestigious dance school Studio Bleu to the next level, competing nationally every week. But the road to glory won’t be an easy one. Coach Glo must juggle her tiny but mighty dancers, their scheming moms, and ensuing meltdowns, all while ruling with a tender but tough iron fist. Will Glo and her dance team persevere amidst the dramatics?
I want to know if people will tune in. The television landscape has changed a lot since COVID. One of the biggest changes is that people are not as into seeing someone being mean as they were in 2019. So the interest might not be there.
Even I am debating if I want to watch a mean dance teacher and entitled moms fight as their children cry because of it. While that is me. Will you be watching on September 8th?
I don’t know about you, but I like The Traitors on Peacock. I just don’t love that it is all reality stars.
I guess I am not alone because NBC picked up the competition show. But the key difference is that it is Average Joes who will be trying to figure out who The Traitors are, or they are The Traitors hiding their identity.
“‘The Traitors’ format has proven itself as one of the most gripping and talked-about reality competition shows in the world,” said Stephen Lambert, CEO of Studio Lambert, the producers of both the Peacock and NBC versions. “We’re thrilled to be working with NBC to open up the experience to a new group of civilian players, whose stories and strategies will make the gameplay even more unpredictable – and, we hope, even more addictive for viewers.”
Do you think you have what it takes? Then you can apply at TheTraitorsUS.com. If you are chosen, then you can hang out with Alan Cumming in Scotland in 2026.
