Sherri Shepherd will be talking for another season!
March 20th, 2025 under Sherri Shepherd. [ Comments: none ]

Sherri Shepherd always wanted to do her own talk show, and she finally got one.

However, she had to prove that she could do it by herself. And she has so much so that she has a #2-rated syndicated talk show. Because of that, she was told that Sherri was renewed for a fourth season today.

And they celebrated the news with a confetti cannon. The first time Sherri was prepared for. The second one almost killed her. Thankfully, they didn’t.

Shepherd said, “I don’t take it for granted that people welcome me into their homes daily. I work so hard to bring escapism to viewers’ lives through joy, laughter, and inspiration, and I’m grateful that the audience has embraced what we do. I look forward to raising the bar and turning up the volume as we plan for our season four return.”

Congrats! It is nice to see someone succeed by doing what they love.

Netflix is making Willy Wonka come true!
March 20th, 2025 under Netflix. [ Comments: none ]

I grew up with Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory as a kid, and I always wanted to win a Golden Ticket so that I could go to his factory. But that was just make-believe.

That is until now! Netflix is in the casting process for a new competitive series where competitors will need to win The Golden Ticket to be granted access.

Just like Charlie Bucket and the other children in Roald Dahl’s original 1964 novel Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, a group of lucky contestants will have the chance to step into the whimsical wonderland — and to enter, you’ll need a coveted golden ticket. To achieve sweet success in this high-stakes social experiment, players will have to adapt and strategize, as a golden ticket only gets you so far. Wonka’s guests must withstand games, tests, and temptations designed to prove their instincts, resilience, and ability to thrive in the chaos of a retro-futuristic dreamscape.

“We are thrilled to bring the magic of The Chocolate Factory to life like never before,” said Jeff Gaspin, Vice President of Unscripted at Netflix. “This one-of-a-kind reality competition blends adventure, strategy, and social dynamics, creating an experience that is as captivating as it is unpredictable. For the first time, a lucky few won’t just have to imagine the experience — they’ll get to step inside the factory and live it.”

If I got The Golden Ticket, and it was like the movie, I would be out as soon I saw the Chocolate River like Augustus Gloop! I would be as happy as a pig in mud, and I would look like one.

If you want to take part in this dream competition series and you are an American citizen over 18, then you can enter here.

Is Renee Taylor really 92?
March 20th, 2025 under Are they really their age?. [ Comments: none ]

Yesterday was Renee Taylor’s 92nd birthday. However, she does not look her age. In fact, she doesn’t look like she has aged a day since she was on The Nanny in the ’90s.

Unlike most celebrities who never seem to age, I know her secret. It is laughing, lots and lots of laughing! It keeps you young no matter how old you get.

Gabriel Iglesias’ perfect response after walking the Jennifer Hudson Show’s Spirit Tunnel
March 19th, 2025 under Gabriel "Fluffy" Iglesias, Jennifer Hudson. [ Comments: none ]

Gabriel Iglesias was a guest on The Jennifer Hudson Show today. You know what that means? He walked through the Spirit Tunnel to go from the green room to get to the stage.

The comedian was shocked by their reception. However, he had the common sense to say the right thing to the staff and crew of the daytime talk show when he made it to the end and was about to go on stage. “I don’t want to leave. I want to go back,” he said to the cameraperson.

I can’t say I blame him. I would just stay there forever. Or until nature called and I could not hold it anymore. What would you do?
