Drew Barrymore and Ke Huy Quan have been friends for over 40 years, thanks to Steven Spielberg. So, you would think they would know everything they need to know about the other one. And you would be wrong.
Yesterday, the Oscar winner was on The Drew Barrymore Show, and he shared a secret with her. Back when they were kids, he had a crush on her. And she didn’t know it.
Then, the daytime talk show host admitted she had a crush on him. And he didn’t know it.
So, for all of this time, they both liked each other when they were young, but they never got the chance to see if their sweet affection could have been something more.
And it never will be because Love Hurts due to the actor being happily married to his wife, Echo, for 22 years and counting.
Therefore, we are left to wonder what could have been. After watching this interview, I think it would been as sweet as the chocolate banana Drew had all over her face when she realized she liked him.
Can we all admit that Spielberg knew how to pick the best child actors in the ’80s? Seriously, these two are just as awwwwdorable now as they were then.

Selma Blair was a guest on The Drew Barrymore Show yesterday, and she mentioned that her son liked to wear her jeans because he liked the way they looked on him. Then Valerie Bertinelli said that men’s tees are better than women’s. To which, Barrymore said she likes one with “a little bit of a smelly pit.” She wants to smell his pheromones when he is not with her.
At that point, the One Day at a Time star revealed that the host does not emit an odor. And to prove that she doesn’t smell, Drew had Selma smell her underarm.
How wild is all of that? I wish I didn’t have a scent. But then again, I am addicted to perfumes and wear them every day. So you can say I smell like roses. That is if I decided to wear a rose perfume that day.
