It sure did! The Ryan Reynolds/Hugh Jackman film made $205 million in the United States, making it the #1 opening movie of the year and the eighth-biggest opening weekend of all time.
The movie made $438.3 million globally and is the biggest R-rated movie internationally. It knocked the other two Deadpool movies down to the second and third spots.
So, I think we can all agree that all of that promotion worked. However, it didn’t really need it because who doesn’t want to see these frenemies go at in the MCU?

Prime Video announced today Jensen Ackles will star in Vought Rising, the prequel to The Boys.

It’s a twisted murder mystery about the origins of Vought in the 1950s, the early exploits of Soldier Boy, and the diabolical maneuvers of a Supe known to fans as Stormfront, who was then going by the name Clara Vought. In January, Nicole Eggert announced that she has breast cancer. Since then, she has shared her journey with us. She took us with her when she cut her hair, shaved it, and got chemo.
Today, she shared the best news. Her surgeons told her that she “had a full, complete response.” Then she explains that means her “body fully responded to the chemo. There is no detectable cancer in that area.”
The next step in her journey is to get a mastectomy and reconstructive surgery. And then hopefuilly, she can close this chapter.
