Richard Simmons’ family shares what would have been his final post
July 21st, 2024 under Richard Simmons. [ Comments: none ]

Richard Simmons/Facebook

Last Saturday, Richard Simmons sadly passed away suddenly.

Before he died, he had a planned social media post ready to go with might have been a recent photo of him. However, he died before he could post it.

So this weekend, his staff posted his final words to us.

From Richard’s staff:

Hello everyone.

Richard worked very hard on his posts for you. He had many ideas and would work ahead… going back to each one making changes until he had it just like he wanted before posting.

As you know, on the weekends, he would just share a photo with a caption. He always chose his photos and wrote his captions for the upcoming weekend by Friday.

So we have the post Richard planned to share with you last Sunday. We thought you’d want to see it.

Here is the post Richard had planned for you for Sunday July 14, 2024:

“Let me fly you to the moon so we can gaze among the stars.

Love,
Richard”

It is almost as if he knew.

NBC announced today that they gave series orders to Suits: L.A. and Gross Pointe Garden Society.

The Suits spinoff is about Ted Black, a former federal prosecutor from New York, has reinvented himself representing the most powerful clients in Los Angeles. His firm is at a crisis point and to survive he must embrace a role he held in contempt his entire career. Ted is surrounded by a stellar group of characters who test their loyalties to both Ted and each other while they can’t help but mix their personal and professional lives.

Gross Pointe Garden Party tells the story of four members of a suburban garden club, all from different walks of life, get caught up in murder and mischief as they struggle to make their conventional lives bloom.

NBC did not reveal when either show will debut.

Isabella Strahan is cancer-free!
July 19th, 2024 under Michael Strahan. [ Comments: none ]

Earlier this year, Michael Strahan’s daughter, Isabella, 19, announced that she was diagnosed with medulloblastoma, a type of brain tumor. Since then, she has shared her journey to beat it with Good Morning America’s viewers.

Yesterday, she made a big announcement after getting the results of her MRI. “It was a great, great scan,” she said. “Everything was clear. Cancer-free, and everything is great. I don’t have another doctor’s appointment until October.”

Isabella is already planning to go back to college in the Fall!

This is such great news! I love that we have come so far with cancer treatments, and she benefitted from those advancements.

Weird Al Yankovic sings WAP and more Polka style
July 19th, 2024 under Weird Al Yankovic. [ Comments: none ]

It has been a long drought since Weird Al Yankovic released any new music. Well, today, the floodgates were opened because he released his first song in a decade.

Polkamania includes songs ranging from Adele’s Hello to Taylor Swift’s Shake It Off. And I can’t shake it off how good it is.

It is a total adrenaline rush. My heart was pumping like crazy, and I hadn’t even had my coffee yet.

Why did he release the tune today, of all days? He wrote, “Happy New Weird Al Single Release Day! I decided to celebrate the 10-year anniversary of my last album Mandatory Fun by doing a polka medley of some of the biggest hits of the last 10 years.”

Which ones do you think he missed?
