This should have been a happy time for Alexa Pena and her husband, Carlos Pena. The couple were getting ready to welcome their fourth child and second daughter. However, they announced today that their baby girl did not survive.
There are never the right words to say when it comes to loss. After a beautiful and peaceful delivery our daughter “Indy” was born at rest. It has been a painful journey. But in the pain we have found peace. God continues to comfort and hold us in his arms. The prayers from the community around us have been so sustaining in this difficult season. This little girl has already changed our lives in so many ways. She was absolutely beautiful. And looked just like daddy. Dark hair and all. Grief has come to us in waves. Moments of feeling absolutely gutted… then moments of feeling blessed by just getting a moment with her.
We can’t understand why things like this happen and we may never get those answers.
Indy Rex PenaVega, you completely changed our world. You moved us to a new place. You gave us the community we have been longing for. We love you can’t wait to see how many other lives you change.
Vega revealed in a Vlog in mid-March that she was suffering from a placental abruption. She had the same complication with her third child, but it was much smaller then.
The PenaVegas have two sons, Ocean, 6, and Kingston, 4, and a daughter Rio, 2.

Over the weekend, Elizabeth Berkley and Mark-Paul Gosselaar reunited at the Huntsville Expo, and we got this photo of the two Saved By the Bell stars.
Both actors still look fantastic. Although, the Showgirl looks like she might’ve gotten into the caffeine pills and is so excited.

So, let’s start with the easy stuff first. ABC picked up The Rookie for season 7, and Disney Entertainment is still talking with Tamron Hall for a sixth season.
Now, let’s talk about what you want to talk about. Back in 1999, we got the new Soap Opera Passions. Since then, nothing. Just a lot of cancellations, like that one, Port Charles, Sunset Beach, All My Children, One Life to Live, As the World Turns, and Guiding Light.
However, today, CBS announced they picked up The Gates, which will debut in January. The Daytime Drama follows the lives of a wealthy Black family in a posh, gated community.
The Gates is a joint venture between CBS Studios and the NAACP.
It will be interesting to see who they cast. I am sure there are a lot of actors who will be clawing their way in to get an audition for the show. Who do you want to see star on the Soap?
