Chicken Nugget proves that Koreans make better TV shows
February 15th, 2024 under Netflix. [ Comments: none ]

What is the most original American program you have seen on TV recently? I can’t think of any. They are either first responder procedurals, reality shows, family sitcoms, remakes, or dramedies. So the same old, with different casts and backgrounds.

Well, Korea got us beat with Chicken Nugget. A bizarre comic-mystery drama, the series takes you on a rollercoaster ride with Sun-man (Ryu Seung-ryong) as he navigates an absurd mission: To rescue his daughter, Min-ah (Kim You-jung), who has turned into a chicken nugget after a mishap with a strange machine. Along for the wild ride is Baek-joong (Ahn Jae-hong), who has a secret crush on Min-ah.

How brilliant is that? I bet the studio heads are kicking themselves in the chopsticks for not coming up with something like this. So I am sure they will copy the concept, and turn the sweet and sour chicken nugget a Buffalo Wing.

But, first, they have to watch it on Netflix with us starting on March 15th.

I am going to be watching. Are you going to sit down at the dining table with me?

Chris Hemsworth shows us how fish babies are made

My parents taught me about the birds and the bees, and TV taught me the rest. Or so I thought it did.

It turns out I didn’t. Chris Hemsworth and his wife, Elsa Pataky, just showed us “how babies are made in Australia.” He explained, “It’s both a game of passion, love and intense sportsmanship where everyone one’s a winner.”

And with that, I just booked a trip to the land Down Under so that man can satisfy my down under.

Evil is going to meet its end
February 15th, 2024 under Paramount+. [ Comments: none ]

Evil is a show that has been as cursed as its storyline. It debuted on CBS, got cancelled, picked up by Paramount+, and then it got delayed by both the pandemic and the strikes.

And now, it has finally met its match. That is because the streaming service announced today that this season will be the supernatural drama’s final one.

“Robert and Michelle King created a unique and deeply entertaining way of exploring the intersection of religion and science,” said Jeff Grossman, Executive Vice President, Programming, Paramount+. “We thank Robert, Michelle and the immensely talented cast and crew of EVIL and are incredibly proud of their collective work on the series. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for these characters, in what is sure to be a nail-biting, wild ride of a final season.”

The fourth season premiers in May. And I can’t wait to see how it ends.

Rita Ora went under the scissors
February 15th, 2024 under Rita Ora. [ Comments: none ]

Rita Ora decided to change up her appearance, and it was the right thing to do. The singer cut off several inches of her hair for a layered bob and it highlights her gorgeous face in a different way than her long hair did.

She is gorgeous either way. But this cut really accentuates her natural beauty.

Do you think it is a hair do, or a hair don’t

If you want to impress people with a trivial fact, then you can tell that Howie Mandel is the voice of Gizmo in Gremlins.

Don’t believe me. Here, he is doing it to promote Dead Meat’s Horror Awards.

How cute is that? It brought a smile to my face just like all of the killer Gremlins in the sequel! Gremlins 2 is so much better than the first one, and I adored the original.

BTW Can you believe that the first movie is turning 40 this year? It is! And I can’t wait to watch it again for Christmas. It is a Christmas movie, and I don’t want to hear differently.
