Sherri Shepherd has a daytime talk show, and she has four green rooms for her guests. Those green rooms are named after four female comedians that she idolizes: Lucille Ball, Marsha Warfield, Whoopi Goldberg, and Joan Rivers.
Today, when Joan’s only daughter, Mellisa Rivers, was on Sherri, she had a heartfelt gift for the talk show host. The presents were two pillows with dogs on them from Joan’s library on the couch of her penthouse apartment.
You can tell that sweet little gesture meant so much to Sherri. She didn’t know whether to cry or smile like a little girl. So, she did both.
Sherri also told a story about Joan. After Sherri was let go from The View, she didn’t think she would work again because Hollywood might’ve forgotten about her. And Joan told her, “Sherri, funny girls always work.” And Sherri has been working nonstop since then.
Stories like this make me feel like I have a heart. One of the reasons why I like Sherri so much is that she put in her dues. And she doesn’t forget how hard she had to work to get to where she is now. She remembers the people who got her to where she is now, and she makes sure to honor and thank them.
And that is what makes her such a good daytime talk show host and why so many people support her.
Now, if she can support my friend who used to design clothes for her! LOL! What? I want to help my friend.

Mindy here. My dear friend, Nicole Eggert, was recently diagnosed with breast cancer and needs our help.
It’s been a long time since Charles in Charge and Baywatch. As a single mom, she’s had to struggle financially to raise her two daughters. She still has a little one at home and she is terrified of not being able to afford the treatments and surgery necessary while also keeping a roof over their heads. She’s lost both her parents and doesn’t have any family to lean on or help her with this situation.
She has a long road ahead. Multiple expensive imaging – CTs, MRIs, Ultrasounds, etc. Multiple doctors to see – oncologists, surgeons, etc. Cancer treatments and medications. Her current insurance won’t even scratch the surface of what she needs.
She is tenacious and has always found a way to get by, but this is different. She will be unable to work while undergoing surgery and treatments. She has a long, scary road ahead and has a terrible time asking for help.
I implore you to help my friend afford her medical bills as well as feel secure that she won’t be left without a home for her family during this extremely trying time.
Once she is on the road to recovery, she intends to start a non-profit for single parents like herself, without families, who are going through this ordeal.
She will be grateful for any contribution. Everything helps.

There is a new game show on Game Show Network starting today at 6p, and it is starting with a Blank Slate. That is because it is called Blank Slate.
The game show hosted by Mario Lopez has two teams of two and a comedian compete against each other for $10,000.
In the first round, they have to fill in the blank word of a sentence. For each one that they match, they get extra points. One hundred points for one match, and three hundred if they all guess the same answer. They get an additional 100 points if any of the three match the audience’s words.
For the second round, they switch comedians. For the third round, the lower scoring team gets to choose their comedian, as both teams have to fill in two blanks.
The team with the highest score goes on to the final round. That is when the winning team has to get the two comedians to guess the same answer that they did. If they do, then they go home with $10,000.
This is a game show that anyone can play because it just takes filling in the missing word of a sentence. Well, anyone but me. Because I have a dirty mind, and I didn’t match any of the answers.
