Mary Lou Retton is one of the most beloved Olympians of the 20th century. And today, she needs our prayers.
Her daughter, McKenna Lane Kelly, started a spotfund and explained why. “My amazing mom, Mary Lou, has a very rare form of pneumonia and is fighting for her life. She is not able to breathe on her own. She’s been in the ICU for over a week now. Out of respect for her and her privacy, I will not disclose all details. However, I will disclose that she is not insured.
“We ask that if you could help in any way, that 1) you PRAY! and 2) if you could help us with finances for the hospital bill.
“ANYTHING, absolutely anything, would be so helpful for my family and my mom. Thank y’all so very much!”
I pray that she recovers from her pneumonia and is breathing on her own shortly.
When it comes to her not being insured, America sucks when it comes to healthcare. She should be insured for being someone who represented our country in the Olympics. But more importantly, she should be insured because she is a human being. We need to do better.
Gwyneth Paltrow answered Vogue’s 73 Questions, and her biggest reveal was not an answer.
As the Oscar-winning actress was giving the interviewer a tour of her garden in The Hamptons, we learned that she uses her Oscar as a doorstop.
Can she be any more ungrateful and pretentious? And that is how she came across throughout the whole 16-minute interview.
Some people love her, and I am not one of those people. And after this, I like her even less.
And when it comes to her Oscar, she didn’t deserve it anyway. Shakespeare in Love was so overrated, and it sucked. Who has ever suffered through that film for a second time?
The series finale of Seinfeld is one of the most panned finales in all of TV history, and fans are still not over it after 25 years.
On Saturday, when Seinfeld was answering questions from his fans in Boston, someone asked him what he thought of the ending of his sitcom.
“Well, I have a little secret for you about the ending. But I can’t really tell it. Cause it is a secret,” the comedian told the fan. “Here’s what I will tell you, OK? But you cannot tell anybody. Something is going to happen that has to do with that ending. It hasn’t happened yet. And just what you are thinking about. Larry [David] and I have also been thinking about. So you’ll see.”
The audience responded with loud screams of happiness, and thunderous applause.
It will be interesting to see what David and Seinfeld have planned for us to make up for that shitty ending. And it will be even more interesting to see how they will be able to uncancel Michael Richards, who has pretty much been cancelled since he went on a racist tirade during a stand-up performance in 2006.
Late last week, a man was arrested for allegedly hiring someone to kidnap and kill This Morning’s Holly Willoughby. And ever since then, she has been on a break from the series.
Today, the host announced that she has decided to leave the talk show permanently.
I’ve let ITV know today that after 14 years, I will not be returning to This Morning.
To everyone who has ever worked on the show over the years, thank you so so much. This is such a difficult goodbye, you are incredible and I forever will be proud of what we’ve done together. Thank you to everyone at ITV for being supportive. To every guest who has sat on our sofa, thank you.
Most of all, thank you to the wonderful viewers. You’ve been so loyal, so supportive and the very best company every day.
Richard and Judy said ‘we only look after this show, it will always belong to the viewers’. It’s been an honour to just be part of its story and I know this story has many chapters left to go. Sadly, however, I now feel I have to make this decision for me and my family.
I will miss you all so much.

I am praying that she gets through this difficult scary time.
This has been a tough year on This Morning. Phillip Schofield, her co-anchor, was forced to leave the show in May when it was revealed that he had a secret affair with a much younger employee on the show.
So if you watch game shows, then you know that the hosts ask the contestants about themselves.
Pat Sajak asked Ronnie about his work with the paranormal and quickly regretted it. That is because the Wheel of Fortune contestant told him, “I was [involved] about 15 years ago, as part of a team as a skeptic cause I just don’t believe in ghosts. I think they’re kind of weird. Somebody that haunts a place and wears a Victorian outfit. It just doesn’t make sense to me very much. If I were a ghost, I’d be the nude ghost, I think. Scaring people in more than one way.”
And with that, Sajak said, “I’m really sorry I got into that all of this.” He is not the only one.
I will end this on a positive note. Ronnie promised not to haunt Sajak. However, Sajak never said he wouldn’t haunt Ronnie in a Victorian dress. And now I have that image stuck in my head.
