TBS cancels 1 show while Prime Video axes 3
November 21st, 2023 under Prime Video, TNT/TBS/TCM. [ Comments: none ]

Today was not a good day to have a scripted show on TBS and Prime Video. That is because they cancelled four shows, according to Deadline.

Miracle Workers called their fourth season End Times, and that is what it turned out to be for the series that stars Daniel Radcliffe.

Over at Prime Video, they fell out of love with With Love, The Horror of Dolores Roach, and Harlan Coben’s Shelter.

Tell me in the comments which show you are going to miss the most.

Before Jason Alexander played George Costanza, who was nuts, on Seinfeld, he was selling Planter’s Peanuts. How handsome was the 23-year-old in that 1983 commercial?

Ralph Macchio and Jackie Chan are looking for the next Karate Kid
November 21st, 2023 under Jackie Chan, Ralph Macchio. [ Comments: none ]

Ralph Macchio is the original Karate Kid. Jackie Chan starred in the shitty remake that Will Smith made for his son. And now the two of them are teaming up to find the next Karate Kid.

Sony Pictures is doing a worldwide search for a Chinese or mixed-race Chinese 15 to 17-year-old who speaks perfect English to play the lead role along with the two actors. It would be helpful if he speaks some Mandarin and is skilled in some martial arts, gymnastics, dance, and/or movement. However, acting experience is not required. But you must be available between March and June to film the movie.

If this sounds like you, your son, or a boy you know in your life, then go to KarateKidCasting.com to apply.

Personally, I think it is fucked up that they didn’t wait until Cobra Kai aired its final season to announce this.

Disney+ silences The Muppets Mayhem
November 21st, 2023 under Sesame Street/Muppets. [ Comments: none ]

Disney+ finally let Dr. Teeth and the Electric Mayhem’s story be told. But today, they decided to close the chapter on the Emmy-nominated The Muppets Mayhem after only one season, according to TV Line.

Part of me wonders if the show would’ve gotten a second season if they dropped a new episode every week instead of the whole season at once. I believe that one-day binges hurt a series’ viewership numbers. What do you think?

And are you as upset as I am that the band played their final song? Tell me in the comments.
