Last year, Ben Savage ran for West Hollywood Neighborhood Council and lost. So now he is running for the US House of Representatives. The actor is hoping to fill Adam Schiff’s seat because the Congressman is running for Senate.
The Boy Meets World star wrote why he is running:
Together, we can do better.
I am a proud Californian, union member and longtime resident of District 30 who comes from a family of unwavering service to our country and community.
I firmly believe in standing up for what is right, ensuring equality and expanding opportunities for all.
I’m running for Congress because it’s time to restore faith in government by offering reasonable, innovative and compassionate solutions to our country’s most pressing issues.
And it’s time for new and passionate leaders who can help move our country forward. Leaders who want to see the government operating at maximum capacity, unhindered by political divisions and special interests.
Please join our movement!
I feel for my friends who live in District 30 because they deserve better. But who knows, maybe Savage will prove himself to be the perfect candidate.
But, until then, I am relieved that I live in District 29 and that Tony Cárdenas is my House Representative.
Chance the Rapper is the newest coach on The Voice, and he revealed on Today today a secret about the red hot swivel chairs. It turns out they are really red hot because they are temperature controlled.
So if it is cold in the studio, then they can turn on the heat. If it is hot, they have a cooling feature too. And now I want one for my house!
I would want even more if the ladies on the NBC singing competition show would ask them to add a vibrating feature to them as well. Could you imagine if they did? They would turn around and be like, “OMG! OMG! OMG! You were so so so good! Yes! Yes! Yes!
The Voice is back tonight at 8p with Kelly Clarkson, Niall Haron, Chance the Rapper, and Blake Shelton. It is the latter’s final season with the series. Just in case you hadn’t heard.
Everyone who meets Henry Winkler immediately falls in love with him. But how much do we know about the man behind that huge smile? On Halloween, we are going to learn more about the man behind The Fonz!
Being Henry: The Fonz…and Beyond tells the story of the beloved actor. He launched into prominence by his role as “The Fonz” in the beloved Happy Days, has transcended the role that made him who he is. Brilliant, funny, and widely-regarded as the nicest man in Hollywood (though he would be the first to tell you that it’s simply not the case, he’s really just grateful to be here), Henry shares in this achingly vulnerable memoir the disheartening truth of his childhood, the difficulties of a life with severe dyslexia, the pressures of a role that takes on a life of its own, and the path forward once your wildest dream seems behind you.
And once his wildest dream comes true, we will learn about his life as an actor, being a husband, and his most important role of being a father. And on that note, Winkler revealed that it was his son, Max, who inspired him to write the autobiography.
An autobiography I can’t wait to read. And I don’t read.
The Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles are back, and they are not your parents’ turtles. That is because Micah Abbey, Nicolas Cantu, Shamon Brown Jr., and Brady Noon weren’t even born when your parents were watching TMNT. This means for the first time in their history, the green superheroes are being played by actual teenagers.
Because of that, I can’t wait to see TMNT: Mutant Mayem when it comes out on August 4th. Especially since the latest film is being brought to us by permanent teenager Seth Rogen, you know he is going to take them to places where they have never been before. And that will make the film so much fun! Cowabunga, dudes!
Hoda Kotb was missing from the Today show for two weeks, and all they said is that she was dealing with “a family health matter.”
Today, the beloved anchor returned to the news program and revealed the scary health scare that plagued her family. “My youngest, Hope, was in the ICU for a few days and in the hospital for a little more than a week,” Hoda said. “I’m so grateful she’s home. She is back home. I was waiting for that day to come. And we are watching her closely. I’m just so happy.”
She did not say what was ailing her 3-year-old daughter. But that does not matter. What matters is that the toddler is home and getting better.
Kotb also wanted to thank everyone who has been there for her over the last two weeks. It has meant a lot to the mom.
Hoda also thanked Savannah Guthrie, who had a health scare last week. Guthrie tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday. Today was also her first day back at work after the diagnosis.
