Billy Idol is going to play the Hoover Dam
February 7th, 2023 under Billy Idol. [ Comments: none ]

Billy Idol is going to do something that no other musician has ever done. On April 8th, he is going to play the first-ever concert at the Black Canyon of the Colorado River at Hoover Dam.

The Rocker is doing this because “The North American West is experiencing the worst drought to befall the region in over one thousand years, a crisis that will increasingly affect the day-to-day lives of millions around the world in a myriad of ways. This is a daunting environmental and human challenge that I’m committed to raising awareness of.”

The concert will only be open to 250 people. So get your tickets now at thisisvertigo.live.

Idol added that the show will feature special guests and “it will be filmed to help illuminate this important issue.”

If I could go, I would. Imagine how awesome the acoustics will be at the Dam? Rebel Yell will be totally haunting.

Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies is the word
February 7th, 2023 under Paramount+. [ Comments: none ]

When I heard that Paramount+ was making a prequel to Grease called Grease: Rise of the Pink Ladies, I opted to ignore it.

However, today they released the trailer for the series, and I can’t wait for the show to premiere on April 6th.

The musical series takes place four years before the original Grease. In 1954, before Rock‘n’Roll ruled, and before the T-Birds were the coolest in the school, four fed-up outcasts (Marisa D’avila, Cheyenne Isabel Wells, Ari Notartomaso and Tricia Fukuhara) dare to have fun on their own terms, sparking a moral panic that will change Rydell High forever.

This is going to the Glee for a new generation! And it is just what we need.

Jason Biggs actually looking sexy
February 7th, 2023 under Jason Biggs. [ Comments: none ]

Jason Biggs is kind of known as the nerdy guy since his days of making love to the American Pie. However, in this ad for Baby Bel cheese, he is making scream, “Baby, ring my bell.”

Who knew he could be so sexy? He is like the Patrick Dempsey of his generation. Too far!

Uber Eats brings back one-hit-wonders for their Super Bowl ad
February 7th, 2023 under P Diddy. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=mnySyKAoLpI

Uber Eats has a commercial airing during Sunday’s Super Bowl, and it is not going to be a one-hit-wonder. However, the musicians in it are.

They were able to dig up Montell Jordan (This Is How We Do It), Donna Lewis (I Love You Always Forever), Kelis (Milk), Ylvis (What Does The Fox Say), and Haddaway (What Is Love) to rework their only hits for the food delivery service. And I love Uber Eats always forever for doing this.

And Diddy for agreeing to do this. I had to include him, right?

On another note, which of the musicians’ songs from the ad do you have stuck in your head? They are all earworms, and I know you are tapping your feet to one of them.

This America’s Got Talent contestant is the GOAT
February 7th, 2023 under America's Got Talent. [ Comments: none ]

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WsGEATZ2Us

Sethward has been finding his way onto America’s Got Talent since season 13. So it makes sense that he would find his way back to appear as the last contestant to audition on this season of America’s Got Talent: All-Stars.

If you are going to get that honor, then you better make great. And he made it the Greatest of All Time. How? By dressing as a goat.

His audition was so bad I almost feel bad for Simon Cowell to have to sit through that again. But seeing the King of Mean being tortured is so much fun. And because of that, I hope the fans vote him through to the next act.
