The first trailer is out for Weird: The Al Yankovic Story, and the biopic is not what I expected. We knew it was loosely based on the singer’s life. But the Roku film starring Daniel Radcliffe in the title role goes in a direction like Weird Al’s song. Like it sounds the same as the original, but it is a parody of what we know.
In real life, Yankovic is squeaky clean. In the movie, “From a conventional upbringing where playing the accordion was a sin, Al rebelled and made his dream of changing the words to world-renowned songs come true. An instant success and sex symbol, Al lives an excessive lifestyle and pursues an infamous romance that nearly destroys him.”
I don’t know what to make of it, but I know I will be watching it on November 4th. Will you be singing along with me?
Taylor Swift wowed at the VMAs in an Oscar de la Renta nude cocktail dress draped in crystals.
The singer looked like a million bucks. So much so that any prince would want to kiss her before the clock struck midnight.
On that note, Swift announced that her next album, Midnights, is coming out on October 21st. She explained why she gave it that title, “We lie awake in love and in fear, in turmoil and in tears. We stare at walls and drink until they speak back. We twist in our self-made cages and pray that we aren’t-right this minute – about to make some fateful life-altering mistake.
“This is a collection of music written in the middle of the night, a journey through terrors and sweet dreams. The floors we pace and the demons we face. For all of us who have tossed and turned and decided to keep the lanterns lit and go searching – hoping that just maybe, when the clock strikes twelve… we’ll meet ourselves.
“Midnights, the stories of 13 sleepless nights scattered throughout my life, will be out October 21. Meet me at midnight.”
Will this be the album of the year? We will find out soon enough, but I think she will share the title with Harry Styles and Lizzo.
Lizzo normally wears a very revealing outfit when she walks the red carpet. However, tonight the singer showed up wearing a lot of fabric in a black Jean Paul Gaultier Couture gown.
But to me, it looks just like the garbage bag I just took out to put in my trashcan.
Lizzo looks gorgeous from the neck up and like trash from below the neck. Hopefully, she will go back to her old style on the next red carpet.
If you are like me and have eagerly been awaiting a premiere date for the final season of the series that Netflix saved after NBC cancelled it, then I have some great news for you. The first half of it will debut on November 4th.
If that news isn’t satisfying you on this 8/28, here is some more about the passengers who were on Flight 828. “When you turn on the next episode, it’s two years later, and not only is Ben still deeply in the depths of depression and trauma over the loss of his wife but you’ll of course recall that that was only half the tragedy,” series creator Jeff Rake tells Tudum. “The other half was the kidnapping of his infant daughter and tragically, two years later, she’s still missing.”
And then there is Cal. He might look like an adult, but he is still a kid with no memory of how he is now all grown up.
I don’t know about you, but November 4th can’t come soon enough.
