The Munsters looks horrifying…and not in a good way
July 13th, 2022 under Halloween (movies). [ Comments: none ]

I have to admit that I am not the hugest fan of Rob Zombie’s Horror films. They are too artsy and bloody for me.

However, I thought I would give him the benefit of the doubt when it came to The Munsters movie. After watching the full trailer, I think I made a mistake.

It looks so bad, and not in a so bad, it is good. It seems even worse than The Munsters telemovies they made with different casts in the ’90s.

Poor Fred Gwynne, Al Lewis, and Yvonne DeCarlo deserve better than this.

Would Wanda Sykes host the Oscars again?
July 13th, 2022 under Kelly Ripa and Mark Consuelos, Ryan Seacrest, Wanda Sykes. [ Comments: none ]

Wanda Sykes hosted the Oscars this year with Amy Schumer and Regina Hall. As we know, it was a memorable night, but not for the movies that won.

So yesterday, when the comedian was on Live with Kelly and Ryan, Ryan Seacrest wanted to know if she would do it again. Sykes told him, “Oh! Hell! No!”

“I shouldn’t say it like that,” the actress said, “It was an amazing honor. I think it is something you want to do. You do it once. And I don’t know if I would want to do it again. It is a huge job. It took a lot of people to clean me up.”

Personally, I would love to see her get a do-over. I think she could host Hollywood’s biggest night all by herself, and it will be an enjoyable show. The three hosts thing just didn’t work.

The Orphan gets her origin story
July 13th, 2022 under Paramount+. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 2009, we all got scared by the Orphan. Now, 13 years later, the story of Esther’s First Kill is going to be told on August 19th in theaters and streaming exclusively on Paramount+.

Esther’s terrifying saga continues in this thrilling prequel to the original and shocking horror hit “Orphan.” After orchestrating a brilliant escape from an Estonian psychiatric facility, Esther travels to America by impersonating the missing daughter of a wealthy family. Yet, an unexpected twist arises that pits her against a mother who will protect her family from the murderous “child” at any cost.

If Esther was that terrifying when she was with her new family, then imagine how horrifying she will be when she was with her first family? I am making sure that all of my lights are working before I press play on the horror film. I hope I can sleep after I watch it. It took me a while after the first feature.

Is Jaclyn Smith really 76?
July 13th, 2022 under Are they really their age?. [ Comments: none ]

Jaclyn Smith did a photo shoot wearing a satin trench coat, and I can’t believe she is 76 years old.

The actress looks even better now than she did in ’76 when she got her big break in Charlie’s Angels.

I need to know what her secret is because it is something that needs to be shared. Unless Charlie’s Angel really is an angel, and that is her secret to never aging.
