Just like the river in Chicago, the White House dyes their fountain’s water green for St. Patrick’s Day. Since the President cares more about our happiness than his own, he shared a video of the process it takes to make the water go from blue to green.
It doesn’t take a lot, but it is pretty to watch. Therefore, I had to share it with you.
Too bad there isn’t gold at the end of it because the taxpayers all need some. Well, not all, but you and I do.
While The Talk is having a bad week, The Drew Barrymore is having a good one. That is because CBS announced that the daytime talker will be back for a second season.
“We launched this show in a pandemic, which made for a crazy, wonderful journey I never expected,” said host Drew Barrymore. “This is my dream job, and I feel so lucky to get to do this for another year. I am so grateful to CBS Media Ventures and all our station partners for believing in us.”
It is nice to see her reunite with people from her past on the show. I can’t wait to see who she has on next. Maybe E.T. can call in from his home planet. Why hasn’t he been on yet?
UPDATE 1:Syfy announced today that the best new show of 2021 will be back or a second season.
“With ‘Resident Alien,’ everything just came together in perfect harmony – a script by Chris Sheridan that leapt off the page, a lead performance by Alan Tudyk, whose nuance between comedy and menace was pitch perfect, and a team of producers, cast and crew who were all striving to do something great,” Lisa Katz, President, Scripted Content, NBCUniversal Television and Streaming said. “The appeal of this show transcended the sci-fi genre in a way that enabled us to bring in a broader audience, and as the series continues we hope to encourage more and more fans to discover Harry’s very particular perspective on humans.”
UPDATE 2: Younger’s final season will begin streaming new episodes on April 15th on Paramount+.
Entertainment Tonight got an exclusive interview with Sharon Osbourne, and she played the victim in last week’s heated debate. The talk show host defended her friend Piers Morgan, who I don’t think should be defended, and her co-hosts called her out on it. Let’s just say it did not go well for her. It went so poorly that the show did one more episode before being forced to go on hiatus so that CBS can reportedly look into claims about Osbourne’s attitude towards people on the staff in front of and behind the camera.
Since that Wednesday episode, several former Talk employees have called her out for hateful things she said about her fellow hosts. Things like saying Holly Robinson Peete was “too ghetto”, calling Julie Chen “slanty eyes” and “wonton”, and Sara Gilbert is a “pussy licker” and “fish eater.” Osbourne denies all of that.
That was just one of the many things she discussed with Kevin Fraiser yesterday on ET. She told him that she feels like she was blindsided by the questions about Morgan. She claims that the executive producers told her that the CBS executives told them they had to ask questions. Since they won’t tell her who, she thinks the investigation is about finding who the executives are.
However, a source told Page Six, her co-host “Elaine Welteroth and her hairstylist complained to HR over Sharon Osbourne’s recent exchange with Sheryl Underwood.
“They said they don’t feel comfortable working in a racially insensitive and hostile environment, and this complaint launched the investigation.”
As we await the results of the investigation, Osbourne also discussed her future with the daytime talk show. “I don’t know whether I want to go back. I don’t know whether I am wanted there,” she said.
Doing interviews like this will not help her standing with the network. As I have been saying, I doubt she will be back. I think CBS wanted an out, and this was it.
While that is what I think, Osbourne also told Frazier what she would want if she were to return to the show. “I wish we could go on and have an adult conversation calmly and work it out, but I don’t know whether we can,” she says. “I don’t know whether it’s gone past that.”
Do you think it has gone past that? Do you want her back on the show?
We might find out by Monday what her status with the show is. As of now, The Talk is expected to resume live shows on Tuesday.
Happy St Patrick’s Day, the day where we are all Irish for the day!
But on a serious note, today, let’s all be Asian too. What is going on in America is disgusting. Asians should not be attacked because of who they are. We are all the same underneath our skin, so stop the Asian hate.
Conan O’Brien tried to teach several Chinese Americans about today’s holiday. Why don’t we do the same and learn more about our Asian friends?
We can’t hate who we know, so get to know everyone you can. Unless they are a White Supremacist. There is nothing redeemable about them.
Oh, and since many bars and pubs are open again, don’t drink and drive.
