Battle of the Awards Shows |
January 6th, 2021 under Awards. [ Comments: none ]

The Grammys decided to move their awards show from January 31st to March 14th because of the rise in cases of COVID-19 in Los Angeles. There is only one problem; the SAG Awards are also scheduled for that night. Needless to say, the Screen Actors Guild is not happy.
“We are extremely disappointed to hear of the conflicting date, March 14th, announced today for this year’s Grammy Awards telecast. We announced the same date for the SAG Awards last July with the intent to give the greatest possible scheduling consideration for other awards shows. We expect the same consideration from sister organizations throughout the industry.
“The SAG Awards recognizes outstanding acting performances over the past year. We will again put on a spectacular show that accomplishes that mission. Our two organizations, SAG-AFTRA and the Recording Academy share members and work together effectively to advocate for artists in many areas. In an environment that is increasingly challenging for televised awards programs, we also have a mutual interest in successfully showcasing the artistry and talent of our respective memberships. We are in contact with the Recording Academy and will continue to work with our sister organizations to find ways to make this year’s awards season as successful as possible.”
I don’t blame SAG. Even though one is for music and the other is for acting, they will still have conflicts. But then again, I hate award shows, so let them battle it out.

David Hasselhoff is auctioning off a date and the Knight Rider |
January 6th, 2021 under David Hasselhoff/Baywatch. [ Comments: none ]

 LiveAuctioneers
David Hasselhoff is cleaning out his closet, and you can own his trash. Well, his trash is better than ours.
He is giving away some of the clothes he wore on the shows he was on, along with some autographed scripts and props, records, photos, and so much more. However, there are some big-ticket items like KITT from Knight Rider. If the bid is 25% higher than what he asks for, then he will show up with a car. Don’t have the money for the car, then you can have a lunch date with him. Want to have him with you full time, then you can own his likeness that was featured in the Spongebob Squarepants movie?
The smaller items are going for a few hundred dollars, and the bigger items are going for a few hundred thousand workers.
If you get off on The Hoff, then this auction on LiveAuctioneers is for you.

Punky Brewster finally gets a launch date |
January 6th, 2021 under Peacock, Soleil Moon Frye. [ Comments: none ]

When Peacock announced what shows they are rebooting at their launch party, I was most excited for Punky Brewster. Well, after months and months of waiting, the revival, that stars the show’s original actresses Soleil Moon Frye and Cherie Johnson, finally has a premiere date.
That date is February 25th. Valentine’s Day is coming a little late this year. Then again, what isn’t?
Until the sitcom starts streaming, I am just going to listen to the happy theme song over and over again because all of this makes me happy. Things we need more of in 2021!
As happy as I am, there is one thing missing from this photo. That thing is a dog. Punky needs a dog!
