Anytime Kelly Clarkson talks about her husband, Brandon Blackstock, you would think this couple is going to be one of the ones that will actually make it until death do they part. Well, we can’t always assume that we know which couples are going to make it and which ones are not.
Today, The Blast broke the news that the first American Idol winner has filed for divorce from her husband exactly a week ago. No word what happened between them, but I am sure we will find out soon enough. After all, she has a talk show, and she loves to talk!
The estranged couple was married in October 2013, and they have two children together, daughter River Rose, 5, and son Remington, 3. Blackstock has two children, daughter Savannah, 18, and son, Seth, 13, from a previous marriage.
Clarkson, who has a prenup, is asking for joint custody of their children, but did not say who gets custody of her ex-step-mother-in-law, Reba.
Ever since the world has been on lockdown because of the coronavirus pandemic, live music has been silenced. No one knows when we will be able to go to a concert again.
Actually, that is no longer true. Garth Brooks announced today on Good Morning America that on June 27th, he will be doing the first concert in nearly three months. What? How? Where? Why?
Brooks and Encore Live have teamed up for a one-night event at around 300 drive-in theaters across the US. For $100 per vehicle, you can bring your family and friends from low places in a car or a truck, and watch Garth do what he does best on the big screen. That is performing. His wife is better at cooking on the small one. I say that with love Trisha Yearwood.
Anyways, it is a creative and safe way to enjoy a concert again, and I am happy they are making it happen. Hopefully, this could become a weekly event. There are two musicians that I would pay for in this type of scenario, and they are Bon Jovi and Madonna. Who would you pay to see?
In order for us to get more shows, then we have to go to this one. Tickets will be available on June 19th at the overpriced Ticketmaster. How generous would it be if they waved their service charge?
Another nice thing would be if they put the cars in the front and trucks in the back. If they don’t, then all of y’all tall people will finally understand why us shorter people hate standing behind you on the floor at a show.
Let’s be honest; ever since the lockdown started, exercise has been the farthest thing from your mind. Sitting on your couch, watching television is so much more enticing. That is how our expanding fat a$$es like it.
There is only one problem, every now and again, we have to get up. However, doing so is really difficult because our bodies are no longer used to it.
What can we do to lift our wide loads off of the sofa? Kevin James showed us to achieve the perfect lift-off. Pay attention because it is an important lesson. A lesson that needed to be taught because sometimes the person who was holding the remote, leaves the room and the magic television wand is out of arm’s reach. There is nothing worse than being stuck watching Donald Trump praising his failures again, and not being able to change the channel.
Now that we know how to get off of the couch, let’s all try to do it. I didn’t say we have to do it. I just said we have to try. Tomorrow is another day. We can try it again then, or a day that feels different than today. Remember those days?

Something that seemed true at the time because she had taken sick leave for it before on multiple occasions.
However, yesterday she recorded a message, and it sounds like she is not going to do any new episodes until she can do it in front of a live audience. The host said, “Hi, it’s me from home. Hopefully, not for too long.” Then she added, “You know what I am waiting for? Waiting for the state of New York to say that, we as a show, can go back.”
That makes it sound like that is the only way she will do The Wendy Show from now on. Something, I don’t foresee happening any time soon. Especially in New York City, the city hardest hit by the coronavirus in the world.
She is realistic that it will not be done in front of a packed audience of 200 people. If Broadway, that mid-Manhattan desperately needs back financially, doesn’t expect to go back this year, then why does she think they will let her resume? You don’t hear Jimmy Fallon, Seth Meyers, Stephen Colbert, Tamron Hall, Kelly Ripa, or Ryan Seacrest complaining. And their shows do better than hers.
But with this virus, anything is possible. Governor Andrew Cuomo and Mayor Bill De Blasio could say sure, go back to work at your studio. Yeah, right.
