Shudder is streaming the last two episodes of their 5-part series Cursed Films. So far they have looked The Exorcist, Poltergeist and The Omen. Today, they start streaming what happened on the sets of The Crow and The Twilight Zone.
The Crow is infamous for Brandon Lee being accidentally shot and killed on the set while filming the movie. However, that was not the only reason why this comic book movie was cursed.
Before they even started filming, the production office got a warning that bad things were going to happen. And they did. On the first day of filming, two electricians were in a freak accident. One of the electricians raised the cherry picker on his van, and it hit a live wire. He suffered burns all over his body. He did not die, but he lost his ears.
Then there was Brandon Lee. They explain how the accidental shooting happened. They even demonstrate what went wrong. The docuseries also examined how people thought that the younger Lee was cursed like his father Bruce Lee.
Were both the movie and the actor cursed? That is up for you to decide after you watch.
The second episode deals with The Twilight Zone. Vic Morrow and two child actors were killed while filming a scene. The actor was holding the two kids, walking in the water, explosions going off around him, and a helicopter above him. One of the explosives hit the copter, causing it to crash down on the three actors. None of them survived.
While I don’t think this feature was cursed, I am glad they gave it its own episode. Richard Sawyer, who was a production designer on the film, described everything that led up to the night. Then he details what happened when they were filming the scene and immediately afterward. As he gets closer to the moment, he breaks down more and more. It is heartbreaking to see how that night from 1982 is still really raw to him.
Even though this movie was not cursed, this was my favorite episode of the five.
I really enjoyed the whole series, and I hope Shudder brings it back for a second season. It is always interesting to hear how they make movies even if there were deadly reamifications.

Before Eric McCormack couldn’t find a husband on Will & Grace, his wife was killed by a dog in Rin Tin Tin: K-9 Cop. He looks the same now as he did when he was 27 in that 1991 episode.
Celebrities don’t like to be caught by the paparazzi when they are out walking dogs, and Hugh Jackman is one of them. However, today, he really did not want it.
Why? That is because he was wearing an Aviation Gin cap and sweatshirt. What is the big deal? It is his arch-nemesis’ company. Did he lose a bet to Ryan Reynolds and that is why he is donning that look? He explained, “Busted. I thought it best to share this before the paparazzi do. (In my defense … it’s all that’s clean.)”
Back in the ’80s, the movie Valley Girl made girls all over the World want to be Valley Girls. They started to talk like the Moon Zappa song from the film and dress like Deborah Foreman’s character. It also helped to launch the career of some actor named Nicolas Cage. Ever heard of him?
On May 8th, 37 years after the original came out, Orion Pictures is releasing a remake on home video. This time around, Alicia Silverstone tells her daughter all about her rebellious teenage years.
Julie (Jessica Rothe) and her friends leave the Valley for Hollywood. While they are there, she meets bad boy Randy (Josh Whitehouse), and they fall in love. The rest is what most teenage based films in the ’80s were all about. It is the story of dads not wanting their good little daughters dating the bad boys.
There is one big difference with this remake, it is a musical. It will be told through the totally tubular tunes of the ’80s like a-ha’s Take On Me, and The Go-Go’s’ We Got the Beat.
I don’t know about you, but I like so cannot wait to see Valley Girl. The original movie is why I live in the Valley. I have like always like wanted to be one! Totally bitchin’ right? Just like this feature better be! Which it will be.
Mikayla wanted to record herself exercising in a grassy area, but her fox had other ideas. Dixiedo saw the abandoned phone, put it in her mouth, and ran away as fast as she can. Mika chased after her baby, but she could not catch up to the fox.
Eventually, Dixiedo stopped to bury the phone, and Mika was able to get it back. Once she got it back, we were able to see the sly fox, and she is as gorgeous as she is mischievous.
My favorite part of this video is the cute sounds that Dixiedo makes. Who knew that is what they sound like? Well, everyone but Ylvis.
BTW Dixiedo is part of Save-a-Fox, and you can donate their rescue group on their GoFundMe page.
