Before Penny Marshall was looking for a prince to marry on Laverne & Shirley, she was doing the same thing for Hertz. She truly was a Cinderella when she was 27 in that 1971 commercial.

Conan O’Brien’s new show gets a premiere date!
December 18th, 2018 under Conan O'Brien. [ Comments: none ]

Even though Conan O’Brien has been a late night host for 25 years, he is on his fourth late night show. First, he had Late Night on NBC then The Tonight Show. Which we all know what happened with that. Let’s not talk about it. TBS believed in him so much they gave him an hour-long show!

Coming up on January 22nd at 11p, he will have a new show on the network. Which will be the same thing but his 60-minute show was cut in half. However, it will be twice as funny. At least it better be!

The less time gives him more time to work on what makes him so brilliant, remotes unlike anyone else.

Don’t worry, late night’s best host and interviewer will still be talking to celebrities. Whether they want to or not.

Personally, as much as I would love to have more of Conan, I am OK with the time cut if it means we get to see him do more outside the studio. His remotes hurt my stomach because I laugh so hard. He is a real pisser. That is what that term means!

Tears of a clown
December 18th, 2018 under Julia Louis-Dreyfus. [ Comments: none ]

Julia Louis-Dreyfus shared a photo of mascara all over a tear-soaked face, so what made her cry? She said, “Just rehearsed the first scene of our final day @veephbo – Guys, this is gonna be a cinch. #veep #finalepisode.”

Proving that even actors get sad when their shows end. Maybe even more so than us. Well, some make us angry like Lost and Seinfeld. Something I doubt Veep will do because they will be loyal to the fans. Or they better be.

Penny Marshall passed away today the age of 75 due to complications from diabetes according to TMZ.

Back in the ’70s, we feel in love with Penny Marshall when she played Oscar Madison’s secretary on The Odd Couple. She followed that up with her most iconic role, Laverne DeFazio on Laverne & Shirley. Girls wanted to be her and boys wanted to date her.

Then as Laverne moved to Hollywood, her career shifted in a different direction. She went from in front of the camera to behind it. She directed such legendary movies like Big, Awakenings, A League of Their Own, The Preacher’s Wife and Riding in Cars with Boys.

Did you know that Penny Marshall was married to Rob Reiner from 1971-1981? She has one daughter, Tracy, from her first marriage to Michael Henry, who has 5 children.

Today, drink some milk and Pepsi and celebrate a woman who touched so many with her great work.

Is Sandra Bullock going to host the Oscars?
December 18th, 2018 under Kathie Lee and Hoda, Sandra Bullock. [ Comments: none ]

Back in 2010, Sandra Bullock won her first Oscar. Now 9 years later, will she be hosting them? This morning when she was on Today, while Hoda Kotb was asking her who should host, the actress told her, “It’s me! It’s me!”

How did people react to the news? “Everyone is like that is not going to be very good…It’s going to be amazing.” Then she told us what we can expect from Hollywood’s biggest night, “I need to talk about Meryl like everyone else. I need to make some tasteless jokes, but only three.”

Of course, she is joking about being the host. She did, however, say it is a thankless job because everyone is going to hate whoever does it. Which is probably why they cannot find anyone to do it. But she would be a great host if she decided to take the thankless job.

Now that we got that out of the way, let’s talk about her lob. Ever since we have known her she has had the same long hair. She liked that hairstyle because she could hide behind it. When she cut it, she was like, “I can be this person now.” Who that is, I am sure we find out.
