Before Nicholas D’Agosto was an ethical lawyer in an unethical town in Trial & Error, he was the head of the ethical committee in his high school in Election. How cute was the 18-year-old in that 1999 movie?
HGTV thinks that Boise Boys is such a flip that today they announced they picked it up for a second season. The 13 episodes will debut in the spring.
The home renovation show follows designer Luke Caldwell and licensed contractor Clint Robertson as they buy houses old ugly houses and renovate them to modern beauties in the booming Boise, Idaho. Luke likes to spend money and Clint has to rein him in. At the end of the day, the two friends, who are a real odd couple, turn out great houses that people cannot wait to own.
I am HGTV newbie and I discovered this show last week. I loved the first episode so much, I wound up watching all 6 in one sitting. It is not only that I enjoy watching them renovate the houses, I am also really impressed with their final product. Personally. I think they do the best job on the network.
They do such a good job that they make me want to move to Boise and buy one of their houses.
While I tuned for their renovation, their bond and family lives are why it is my favorite show on HGTV. We learn more about Campbell’s 6 kids in the final episode. After that episode, I read on KTVB how he adopted 4 kids from China, three with special needs. Someone that special deserves to have a show like this and you should be watching.
Catch the first season on the HGTV app. I promise you will love it as much as I do.
UPDATE:The Boise Boys had this to say about their pickup, “We are so excited to announce @hgtv has officially just ordered 13 hour long episodes for season 2 of @boise.boys 👏🏻👏🏻 We are so thankful to everyone who has encouraged us and cheered us on along the way! Thanks to @highnoonent for all you do. We love you all ❤️.”
After four seasons, E! has decided to end The Royals reign on their network. While they are done there, Deadline is reporting Lionsgate is looking for a new empire for the soapy drama about make-believe British Royals to conquer. At this point, Pop TV is showing some interest in the show.
Is the news a surprise? Not really because Mark Schwann, the creator, was fired from the show because of past alleged sexual harassment stemming back to One Tree Hill.
When it comes to the show ending, I am OK with it. Adding the dead brother who is actually alive back into the mix ruined the show. But I would still watch it if Pop TV picked it up.

Tonight’s Trial & Error on NBC at 9p is so funny you will think you smoked 9 joints waiting to watch it.
Last week, Josh Segal (Nicholas D’Agosto) realized that his client Lavina Peck Foster (Kristen Chenoweth) actually killed her husband, hours after he literally got her off for murder. Now he is going to try East Peck’s most beloved and richest resident for the murder of her brother Chet 9 years ago.
Jesse Ray Beaumont (Michael Hitchcock) was tried for his murder and convicted for the crime. Before Chet died, Jesse Ray was given a box with something very valuable inside of it that he dumped in the river behind his house. When Josh finds the box, inside reveals the reason why Lavina killed her brother and another mystery you do not want to miss.
Not only that Carol Anne Keane (Jayma Mays) goes into labor and that gets us into the 9:30p episode… Is Josh the baby daddy?
Tonight’s episodes are chock full of nuts, and that is just the residents of East Peck. There is also sex, drugs and Rock’n’Roll. What more do you need to watch the show that you are not watching? How about so many laughs, you will need adult diapers to keep your seat dry! Because no show makes you laugh as much as this one.
Another reason to watch is we need to save this show so it can a third season on either Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Prime or YouTube Premium.
Today is National Joke Day and CBS asked the cast of The Neighborhood to tell their favorite jokes. Max Greenfield went first followed by Tischina Arnold and finally Beth Behrs. Cedric the Entertainer, who is one of the Kings of Comedy, just announced when their sitcom will premiere.
If the show is anything like their jokes, it will be cancelled before a cow can say moo. But since I have seen the pilot, I can say it is better than their jokes. Thankfully! It was my favorite new comedy of the fall season.
Therefore, don’t forget to check it out on October 1st.
