This is a Jeopardy category even I can master!
July 17th, 2018 under Jeopardy. [ Comments: none ]

I do not know about you, but I very rarely can master a whole category on Jeopardy. I have filled my brain with so much useless information, but it never seems to be what they are asking for on the game show.

That is until they added the Celebrity Possessives category. For example, they will ask something like the real name of The Rock with another name for the male anatomy, so the answer would be Dwayne’s Johnson. See pretty simple. Think you can master it like I did? Then press play and see if you are as good as Michelle and I at it!

Did you know fish can be entertaining?
July 17th, 2018 under Animals. [ Comments: none ]

Let’s be honest, we have been through a lot of negative crap over the last week, and we need some mindless entertainment to make us feel better. Well, we just got that from The Pet Collective who posted a 3-minute video of fishes being “funny.”

While the compilation is nothing spectacular, it is just what we need. Who doesn’t want to see a dog kiss a goldfish? Or watch Koi drink from a baby bottle? Or a Betta do magic tricks? They are more entertaining than I thought. Who knew?

This video makes me want to get another Betta, but unfortunately, I raised my cat on fish games and she will think it is a toy.

Bohemian Rhapsody newest trailer still ignores he had AIDS
July 17th, 2018 under Movies. [ Comments: none ]

A few weeks ago, I got into a fight with my friends about the Bohemian Rhapsody trailer. I said their Mr. Robot is no Freddie Mercury and they said he looked just like him. I said, he does not have the same presence as the legendary singer. No matter what he did, he stood out in a crowd. Rami Malek is too nebbishy and blends in with everyone. That is why we are still fascinated with the singer 26 years after his death.

When it comes to his death, they do not mention in the trailer that he died of AIDS. He was the first celebrity to come out and publically say he was HIV+. Back then, you only assumed it until the autopsy came out. Therefore, he put a face on a disease that no one wanted to be associated with. It is as much his legacy as his music.

Even though the band still thinks otherwise, as you can see in the updated description of the movie.

Bohemian Rhapsody is a foot-stomping celebration of Queen, their music and their extraordinary lead singer Freddie Mercury. Freddie defied stereotypes and shattered convention to become one of the most beloved entertainers on the planet. The film traces the meteoric rise of the band through their iconic songs and revolutionary sound. They reach unparalleled success, but in an unexpected turn Freddie, surrounded by darker influences, shuns Queen in pursuit of his solo career. Having suffered greatly without the collaboration of Queen, Freddie manages to reunite with his bandmates just in time for Live Aid. While bravely facing a recent AIDS diagnosis, Freddie leads the band in one of the greatest performances in the history of rock music. Queen cements a legacy that continues to inspire outsiders, dreamers and music lovers to this day

See how they mention that he left the band for a solo career and only came back when he failed. Please, they have been failing since he passed away in 1991. He was Queen, no matter how much they want to think otherwise.

Since I am a person who idolizes Mercury, I will not be seeing this film on November 2nd. But people who don’t know him or the Adam Lambert fans will probably be there on day one to see a sugar-coated version of his life that is more about his time with the band than the man himself. Which is what it should be about because we don’t care about those other guys. Do you?

Corey Hart is working on his first album in over 20 years
July 17th, 2018 under Corey Hart. [ Comments: none ]

Ever since 1984, whenever we put our shades on after the sun goes does, we think of Corey Hart’s Sunglasses at Night. He kept recording for almost 15 years, but then he took a break to enjoy being a father.

Well, the kids are all grown up and he is ready to record again. The Canadian singer announced the news on Facebook yesterday. He wrote, “Very honored to confirm that the legendary Bob Ezrin will be producing my first album in over 20 years – we start recording next month!” But that is not all, he also revealed, “The Live Nation Arena Tour will be @ summer 2019 – SO looking forward to this new adventure – If we keep believing, good things can happen😎”

I, for one, am so excited because his voice drives me wild. There is just something so sexy about it. His song Komrade Kiev does things to me that only Joe Cocker can also do. When it comes to his hugest hit, I always say it is an eargasm because of the way the beat plays tennis between your ears. Listen to it with headphones and you will understand what I mean.
