All of Dick Wolf’s NBC shows will be back for another season!
May 9th, 2018 under Dick Wolf. [ Comments: 1 ]

NBC announced today that they renewed all of Dick Wolf’s dramas: Law & Order: SVU, Chicago Fire, Chicago PD and Chicago Med for another season. The big news is that SVU ties the mothership with 20 seasons. Is the news a surprise? Only that it took them so long to do it. What were they waiting for?

I just have one request, can you keep the Chicago crossovers to just Fire and Med because I do not watch PD.

BTWF: Ron Howard in The Music Man
May 9th, 2018 under Before They Were Famous. [ Comments: none ]

Before Ron Howard starred in Happy Days, he had plenty of happy days on The Music Man. How precious was the 7-year-old in that 1962 movie?

Opie Cunnigham talked about this and his other first roles to Funny or Die.

Meghan Markle gets waxed in time for her wedding!
May 9th, 2018 under British Royals, Madame Tussauds. [ Comments: 1 ]

On Saturday, May 19th, Meghan Markle will marry Prince Harry and today the American Princess got a very huge honor. Madame Tussauds New York added her to their collection of life-size candles. Which is kind of weird because she lives in London and grew up in Hollywood, so you would think they would have added her wax figure to one of their museums first. Guess not.

Anyways, they did a really good job on the Royal couple. They captured their essences, especially hers. If you get where I am going with that?

Rick Moranis puts on the Dark Helmet for The Goldbergs tonight!
May 9th, 2018 under Rick Moranis, The Goldbergs. [ Comments: none ]

The Goldbergs got Back to the Future’s Lea Thompson to ride a Hoverboard, Weird Al Yankovic to put on a mustache and a wig, and now they are doing the impossible. It has been 20 years since Rick Moranis took a hiatus from acting, and since then he has been very very very selective about any role he might take on.

Well, I guess the Schwartz is strong with Adam F Goldberg because he got the beloved actor to reprise his Spaceballs role on The Goldbergs tonight at 8p. Sadly, we will only hear Black Helmet and not see him. But still, it is a start.

Especially if Goldberg has his way. That is because the show creator says, “I’ve been a lifelong fan of his [Moranis] work and became obsessed with having him reprise the role on my show. As an added bonus, maybe this even gets Spaceballs back in the conversation and I can get my dream of helping make a sequel!”

For almost 30 years, Mel Brooks has been teasing us with a sequel and it is about time we get it. Now would be the perfect time, since that other franchise is about to put out its last movie. Who doesn’t want Spaceballs 3 the Search for 2? That is what someone once told me it is going to be called and I believed them. Same way I believed that Jews in Space was going to be part of the History of the World sequel. It took me some time, but I finally got that joke.

Seriously, I love that Goldberg gets to live out his childhood fantasies with the sitcom. The best part is he treats them all with the respect they deserve. Can’t wait to see what he does with Val Kilmer next week.

What happens when Dave Grohl asks a kid to play the drums during a show?
May 9th, 2018 under Foo Fighters. [ Comments: none ]

Last week, when the Foo Fighters were playing Nashville, an 8-year-old boy said he wanted to jam with the band. Dave Grohl being the guy that he is said sure. Therefore, Little Fonzie came up on the stage, asked if he could play the drums and he got to live out a dream.

Little Fonzie did nearly a one-minute bitching drum solo and the audience could not stop applauding the little guy. The kid ate up the attention, so he kept on playing and playing.

Eventually, Grohl asked if he could have his concert back and that did not work. What to do? The rocker called on the kid’s dad to get him off of the drumset. After one more solo, Little Fonzie gave up his seat only to go over to Grohl to have a conversation with him. After some niceties, the singer figured a way to get his show back on track. He offered the future drummer some coke. As in Coca-Cola, what were you thinking?

Anyways, it worked and Little Fonzie had a night he will never forget! At least until he joins that garage band and lands the lady of his dream with drumming!

Seriously, who doesn’t love the Foo Fighters? They are what Rock’n’Roll is all about!
