Fox announced their fall schedule this morning and I cannot say I am happy about it. I think they should have stayed with Lucifer and Last Man on Earth over The Gifted and The Resident. On the latter, I get why they kept it. They believe it is a good fit with 9-1-1, but personally, the Ryan Murphy drama is going into Lucifer territory in storylines. The Gifted and Lethal Weapon pairing makes no sense to me. It will be interesting to see if viewers feel the same way. Wednesdays are the same, but I think Empire needs to end. It is a shell of what it used to be. Thursday is freaking Football, more on that below. Fridays will give us Last Man Standing with The Cool Kids. Personally, I am looking forward to both. Sundays will see no comedies in the 7p hour, which is why they got rid go LMOE to make room for Rel. I love Jerrod Carmichael, know his brilliance, but I will not give this comedy all my heart.

The Orville and Gotham’s final season move to midseason. My feeling is The Orville will be paired with Cosmos. It can be the Seth MacFarlane day. Fox has not made any decisions on LA to Vegas and Ghosted. At this point, they are working on new seasons of Prison Break and 24, but it is in the very early phases. When it comes to The X-Files, they have no plans, as of now, to bring it back.

Finally, the New Fox is due to getting a new audience because of football. With the sports ratings declining, it will be interesting to see how many new viewers they get. I think they should have kept the loyal ones instead of focusing on the new ones. But that is me.

Lethal Weapon gets a Goon aka Seann William Scott to replace Clayne Crawford
May 13th, 2018 under American Pie, Fox, Wayans Brothers. [ Comments: none ]

Five days after Fox fired Clayne Crawford from Lethal Weapon, they finally found someone to join the procedural for its third season. That’s right not only did they reveal that Seann William Scott is joining the show, they announced that the show will be back for a third season because of the casting.

Scott is not replacing Crawford on the show, instead he will be playing a new character that has yet to be determined. Some sites are saying he might be playing Riggs’ brother, but it is too early to tell. I mean, after all, it has not even been a week since this all went down.

When it comes to Scott, I wish him well. I have always been a fan of his work and know that he has a very quick wit which is a great talent for an actor to have. Especially, if you are working with a Wayans brother.

UPDATE: Fox picked up Gotham for a fifth season.

Timeless ends its season with a reveal that’ll piss you off if NBC doesn’t renew it
May 13th, 2018 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

Timeless gets a 2-hour season finale starting at 9p tonight that is so good, you do not want to miss it. Not only because it is entertaining but also because we need to save this show that makes history interesting.

In the first episode, they travel back to 1863 and the Civil War. They need to stop Rittenhouse from stopping Harriet Tubman so that South won’t win the war. Therefore, our guys pose as Union spies to protect our history. By doing so we get to see how truly bad a$$ Tubman is and why she deserves to be on our $20 bill.

Then for the second episode, Jiya (Claudia Doumit) is kidnapped by Jessica (Tonya Glanz) and taken to Rittenhouse. She escapes from them and gets lost in time. Eventually, Rufus (Malcolm Barrett) finds out when she is and they go back to save her in San Fransisco’s Chinatown. When Rufus, Lucy (Abigail Spencer), Wyatt (Matt Lanter) and Flynn (Goran Višnjić) arrive in 1888, they go to the restaurant she was photographed and Rittenhouse has already beaten them to the location.

Now they are in a race against time to save Jiya before it is too late. The only problem, this is the time that Jiya had her vision when Rufus would die. Now, they have to not only get back to 2018, they need to all get back alive. Will they?

All leading to an ending that will make you curse out NBC if they do not pick up this show for a third season. It is one of the most shocking and exciting cliffhangers ever to end a season in TV history. Which is fitting for a show about history.

#SaveTimeless by watching!

FRIDAY

9-10 P.M. — Midnight, Texas
10-11 P.M — Dateline NBC

NBC announced their fall schedule today and I am already addicted. I love that they made an all Chicago night on Wednesdays, which has worked well for ABC and their Shonda nights.

Then there are their new shows. Manifest looks like what would have happened had the Lost plane returned. Because of that, I am curious to see what happens next. When it comes to Tuesdays, I am buying stock in Kleenex. Two tear-jerkers back to back is going to be too much for our eyes to handle. Let alone our hearts. I Feel Bad will be an interesting fit with Will & Grace, but I think it is a good transition into Law & Order: SVU. I am completely shocked that NBC is moving Midnight Texas to the fall and I think it is a wise choice. They have made Fridays their Sci-Fi night and it works. Maybe they will give us the sequel to Grimm they teased in their series finale.

When it comes to the missing shows from the fall. America’s Got Talent: The Champions will be NBC’s The Bachelor as in it will fill in for The Voice in between seasons. Blindspot will take over The Blacklist’s timeslot when the latter wraps up its sixth season. World of Dance and Good Girls moves to Sunday when football season ends. The newly acquired Brooklyn Nine-Nine does not have a timeslot yet, but I am sure it will find one soon enough.

Finally, NBC has yet to make a decision on Timeless and Champions. If you want these shows, then you have to watch!
