On February 24th, Kevin Smith’s life changed forever after he almost died from a massive heart attack. Now almost 2 months later, he tells Today, “the heart attack is the best thing that ever happened to him.”
Since that fateful night, he has lost 32 pounds and has 18 more to go before he reaches his goal weight. He started out his weight loss with Penn Jillette’s diet of only potatoes, but now he is losing the rest with Weight Watchers. They are so happy to have him that they made him an ambassador. Which is a good thing because he plans to lose another 25 pounds after he reaches a goal. His dick will be so huge by then, I bet he will pose naked for the whole world to see.
Talking about seeing, that comedy special he was taping the night he nearly died is going to air on Showtime May 11th. I have seen Silent But Deadly and it is a laugh riot from beginning until the end. Although at the end he gets really sentimental. I wonder if he knew those words would become even more impactful just a few minutes later.
I want to go back to that night, he told Savannah Guthrie and Craig Melvin that he was very chatty when the doctors were putting the stent in him. Not only that, he was singing the Degrassi: The Next Generation theme song as they were doing it because it is very uplifting. I don’t know why, but that brought me so much joy. Probably, because that tune is pure happiness. Once a Degrassi fan, always a Degrassi fan.
Anyways, glad to see that he is doing so much better. He still has plenty left to give and I cannot wait to see what he gives us.
Prince William and Kate Middleton welcomed a third child today. Kensington Palace announced 5 hours after she arrived at the hospital that, “Her Royal Highness The Duchess of Cambridge was safely delivered of a son at 1101hrs. The baby weighs 8lbs 7oz. The Duke of Cambridge was present for the birth. Her Royal Highness and her child are both doing well.”
Baby #3’s name should be revealed in two days. What do you think they will name him? I am thinking Henry, Peter or Paul, but I wish they would go with Radcliffe.
Prince William changed the law, so baby #3 will be 5th in line to be King of England, his brother George, 4, and his sister Charlotte, 2, will remain as is in the succession. That is until Prince George has his own children. The way this family stays on the throne, she will never be Queen. But you never know!

Before there was Chuck Berry, The Beatles and Michael Jackson, there was Robert Johnson. When Elvis Presley was just a toddler, Johnson recorded several songs that became so influential, they created a movement. That movement is Rock’n’Roll. As we know that music changed the world and caused people to make a difference with civil rights, the women’s movement and free love. That is why Rittenhouse wants to stop him. Tonight at 10p on NBC’s Timeless, Lucy (Abigail Spencer), Rufus (Malcolm Barrett), Flynn (Goran Višnjić) and Connor Mason (Paterson Joseph), who knows about the recording of The King of the Delta Blues, travel back to the Gunter Hotel in San Antonio, Texas on November 23, 1936 to make sure that these songs recorded.
When they get there, they stop Rittenhouse. The only problem is, it causes a rift between Johnson and record producer Don Law and the singer walks out. Now the team has to do all they can to convince Johnson and Law to record the songs that gave birth to Rock’n’Roll. Is this the case that is the crossroads for all of them?
I have to, sadly, admit that I did not know about Robert Johnson and his music before this episode. As I watched it, I read about him on the internet and what an extraordinary life he had. Sadly, he would be dead within two years of this day, but what he left behind is music that makes your hips do something that even the kings that came after him could not do.
As I write this post, I am listening to the songs he recorded in less than two years and you can hear his greatness. The way he plays the guitar, it truly is like the devil was possessing his fingers to make that sound.
Like the show’s title, it is timeless. This is what makes Timeless so special. Not only is it entertainment, it is also educational. It teaches things like Ben Franklin’s mom was in Salem during the witch trials, how several African-American woman were the brains in NASA and that legendary actress Hedy Lamarr created the technology we know today as Wifi. We learn one type of history in school, but I prefer the one we get with Timeless!
Of course, I enjoy it because each week the cast and crew give us an episode that both educates and entertains at the same. More entertainment than educational, and that is what good TV is all about. That is why fans, like me, fight to keep it on the air.
Abby Lee Miller has had a real sh!tty week and she is asking for prayers on social media.
She was recently rushed to the hospital. While she was there she lost feeling below her neck. Doctors did a CT and thought she had an infection going down her spinal cord. They rushed her into surgery and removed what they thought was causing the problem.
Then they ran some tests and gave her preliminary diagnosis of Burkitt Lymphoma. It is a fast-spreading cancer that requires intensive chemotherapy in order to beat it. Even though it sounds fatal, if it is detected early a majority of the patients survive it.
Today, after that hellish week, she posted the above photo and said, “So much gratitude and love for those who listened,those who looked deeper and those who leapt into action. So much more I wish I could say……about how quickly your life can change at the hands of others. Thanks for 🙏🏻❤️.”
In that picture she looks like a lost little girl instead of the tough 51-year-old woman we have gotten to know on Dance Moms. She needs to find that strength again to beat this. Attitude is as important as all of the medicine in the world. She needs to pretend that cancer is one of her students and she will beat cancer like, well you have seen the show!
