Before Marisa Tomei was an Oscar winning actress, she was a far scream from being one in Toxic Avenger. Although, you could tell that the 19-year-old does have something special in that 1984 movie.
Last season, Ghosts of Shepherdstown dealt with clearing out the spirits from the West Virgina Town that is one of the most haunted in the country. This season on the Destination America show, Police Chief Michael King recruits Nick Groff, Bill Hartley, and Elizabeth Saint, with the help of local historian Dana Mitchell and psychic medium Lorie Johnson to do the same for the nearby communities that are experiencing paranormal activity.
Tonight at 10p, they travel to Harper’s Ferry to investigate the John Brown Wax Museum. Harper’s Ferry is an old town that preexists the Civil War. During that war, several battles were fought there. Is this there the spirits? Although the place they are investigating was a residence before they converted it to a museum in the 1960’s. Is it one of the former residents haunting the building? Or maybe it could be someone’s whose hair and dentures were used to make the wax figures. How creepy is that?
The team is called in because the manager feels threatened by the spirits. She is so afraid of the basement, she will not go down there. When the team investigates, she was right to be fearful of it. In fact, the team gets a call when they are alone in the museum that the manager was attacked by something in her house. Now, they know they really have to rid this place of whatever is there.
What they find out is surprising. Something you will never see coming and that is what makes a good and believable paranormal show. What I like about this paranormal show is they do not go into the gadget of the week, instead they let the haunting happen naturally.
I enjoyed their take so much, I binge watched last season on the Destination American app immediately after watching tonight’s season premiere. You do not have to watch season one before season two, but you will want to watch it. It is that thrilling!

Even though it has been almost 18 years since Keri Russell cut her for the WB drama people are still talking about it. The actress recently sat down with W Magazine and they asked her about it. She shared with them how it came about, “J.J. called me over the summer. We had shot the first season of Felicity and then he said, ‘You know we’re coming with the storylines for next year and we have this idea that the boyfriend breaks up with you and then like college girls go, you would go and cut your hair because of this big breakup. Would you be willing to do that?’ I said, ‘Yeah of course.'”
What she did not expect was the crazy backlash she got when she cut off her curls into a very short do. She said that, “Strangers did come up to me on the street and say things like, ‘You were so pretty before you cut your hair.'” While others told her they liked it. She on the other hand loved her “awkward” cut because she had a friend at NYU who did the same thing when her boyfriend dumped her.
She did not realize that there were consequences with going short when you have curly locks. She told the mag, “It just kind of grew out and was bad. I looked like a Chia Pet for a good few years. And then it was fine.”
Are you over her cutting her hair for the show? I know I am not, but then again I have a curly hair down to my butt so I am biased.
Over the weekend, Sofia Vergara got bangs and she has been playing around new haircut by trying out different hairstyles. One of those hairdos was pigtails and the birthday girl realized that she looks a lot like someone from her childhood. That character is La Chilindrina from the popular Mexican show El Chavo del Ocho. The resembkance is uncanny, don’t you think?
Seriously though, with that hairstyle, she looks at least half her age. No way I would believe that today is her 45th birthday. Do you believe it?
I guess Miley Cyrus is too hot for Liam Hemsworth because her fiance’ had to take an ice cold bath. Lucky for Cyrus, even with skrinkage, he does not shrink that much as you can see in that multi-colored Speedo.
