Before Katey Sagal was chain smoking on Married…with Children, she was doing it on Mary. How much did you love hearing the 31 year old sing on that 1985 episode? I knew she could sing, I just never knew how beautifully until now!
Baby Daddy is back on Freeform tonight at 8:30p and Riley (Chelsea Kane) and Danny (Derek Theler) are dealing with her pregnancy. She takes her baby daddy to her baby doctor, only to find out that the woman she wants to deliver her baby has died. Now, she needs to find a new doctor and she wants anyone but the one that Danny’s mother, Bonnie (Melissa Peterman), goes to.
Of course Danny hooks her up with his mother’s doctor and that causes problems when both women go to see him on the same day. Bonnie overhears something and thinks that her husband, Brad (Peter Porte) got another woman pregnant. Which means she goes crazy trying to figure out who it is.
Then there is Ben (Jean-Luc Bilodeau) who become obsessed a with a woman he met for two seconds at a dry cleaners. He will do anything to find her including posting a missed connections ad. When someone responds to it, he gets excited to meet her. Turns out, she is not the woman. He still sleeps with her and finds out that she knows the woman he is searching for. She knows her, but doesn’t know her. There were three women in that photo and Ben meets the other one. They have sex and she invites him to a party. He decides to go and he brings everyone with him. Which means they will cause a scene. Will it cost Ben the chance to meet the woman he has been searching for?
That is just one reason to tune this season, the other is because Theler tells me we are definitely going to meet his baby with Riley by the end of the season. He is also going to try to marry her because he is so in love with him. Kane on the other hand doesn’t want to be pregnant, especially after she is told that the baby is going to be huge. That and she has to put up with Bonnie who is driving her crazy. So much so, they will finally have it out. When it comes to Bonnie, Petterman told me her character stows away on a ship and on another episode breaks into a department store and has to spend the night. All of this and we meets Tahj Mohry tells me that we meet Tucker’s mom and someone goes to jail. I know who is going to jail, can you guess who it is?
The one/two punch of Young & Hungry and Baby Daddy gives us the best hour of comedy on television. Since we all need to laugh, do with these two Freeform shows.
Last season, when Young & Hungry ended, Josh (Jonathan Sadowski) and Gabi (Emily Osment) came up with a punch card system. Basically, the on-again, off-again couple have a card and they punch it every time they want to have no-feeling sex with each other. When they have punched all the holes, then they go back to being friends. Tonight, on its new night, at 8p, they are still punching that card on the Freeform sitcom.
Can they maintain a carefree relationship? When it comes to these two nothing is carefree. Something happens to Josh that makes him think Gabi is cheating on him. She catches him taking pictures of his junk and now she thinks he is cheating on her. It’s like a he saw, she saw thing and when they finally see each other eye to eye, things go horribly bad between them. Now it is up to Yolanda (Kym Whitley) and Elliott (Rex Lee) to save the day.
When it comes to the latter two, something wacky happens to Elliot that causes him to blackmail Yolanda. The two of them come to a compromise and now they are in cahoots with each other and that is not good for Josh.
Tonight’s episode so brilliantly weaved together, it is incredible to watch how it all is connected. I love the genius behind the scenes and in front of the camera. It is just a joy to watch the masterminds at work.
Talking about that, I recently visited the set and they told me what is coming up this season. Osment told me that Josh and her take their relationship to a whole new level. Which might have to do with the fact that someone mistakes their punch card for a yogurt card and all the holes get punched. Sadowski revealed to me that he is going to meet his estranged father and he comes out to him. What? You will just have to watch the episode to find out what that means. Finally, Whitley says that there is a squirrel involved with her torturing Elliott in some form of the way. In other words, another hilarious season filled with lots and lots of hi-jinx and sex!

After 15 episodes, we are finally going to meet Lowell’s (Matt Cook) wife on Man with a Plan on CBS tonight at 8:30p. For those of you who don’t watch, Lowell is a stay at home dad that follows Adam (Matt LeBlanc) around like a lap dog because he desperately needs a male friend in his life. Adam and his wife (Liza Snyder), Andi, think that Lowell’s wife is make believe because they have never seen her. When they hear she is in town, they invite the couple over dinner.
The two create an escape plan to end their night early, just in case she is a real loser. But when they finally meet her, they find out she is perfect, as in Jenna Dewan Tatum perfect. Andi and Adam fall in love with her immediately and they want to make her their new best friends. Only problem is Lowell and his wife use the same excuse to cut their plans short, so now Andi and Adam think they are being rejected. What happens next is why Man with a Plan has become a quick darling on CBS.
Personally, I think that Cook is the star and needs his own show. Now that we have met Jenna, there is no excuse why they can’t get a spinoff! Who wants to see that happen?

Then at 9p on Superior Donuts, Franco (Jermaine Fowler) is stopped and frisked by an Asian cop because he is African-American. When Franco tries to explain that to the two cops at Superior Donuts, Officer DeLuca (Katey Sagal) tells Franco that that cop is one of the good ones in Chicago.
Wanting to ease tensions between the cops and the people of the neighborhood, Arthur (Judd Hirsch) lets them have a meeting about race in his shop. When something goes missing after the meeting, everyone’s loyalty and views on race are questioned. All coming to one heated exchange between Franco and that cop when he is once again questioned by him. What happens next has everyone questioning everything and changing their outlooks.
Tonight’s Superior Donuts is a must not miss, don’t miss it! Donuts not required, but they make the show sweeter.
Michael Weatherly co-hosted Live with Kelly today; and during a commercial break, the Bull star shared a story about the word that follows his show’s title. A 💩 story!
Back when he was 12 years old he went to sleep away camp, and for the first 6 days while he was there he didn’t make #2. Then one day they went on an overnight hike in nature and nature called. As he explained, “All of sudden, I was leaning over looking to see if it was a salamander was sunbathing or something. And I knew I had about 6 seconds before I was going to give birth to my own little love child.” What did he do? He “ripped his pants down, in front of the entire camp,” and he “uncoiled what looked like 18 foot boa constrictor.”
Where is Mark Harmon when you need him to smack DiNozzo in the back of the head when you really need him to? Seriously though, that is a great story that we can all relate to. Unlike him, we just don’t share it with strangers.
