What do you think of Lady Gaga’s poker face now!
May 21st, 2015 under Lady Gaga. [ Comments: 1 ]

Lady Gaga has had some interesting looks throughout the years and her newest one can be added to the list. The singer shared a photo of herself with her hair wrapped up, huge sunglasses and a face mask and she reminded me of Jar Jar Binks. I think it’s mostly because of the thing on her head, but that is who I see when I look at it. What do you see when you stare at this picture?

Bill Kreutzmann reveals The Grateful Dead’s original name and more!
May 21st, 2015 under Conan O'Brien. [ Comments: none ]

The Grateful Dead’s Bill Kreutzmann wrote a book about his time drumming for the band and yesterday he told some trippy stories from it to Conan O’Brien yesterday.
Did you know the traveling band’s name was originally the Warlocks. Then one day when Jerry Garcia was reading through a dictionary, he saw two words that eventually became the band’s name. A name the other members all hated. A name we have all grown to know and love.
The drummer also shared a story that had Conan hallucinating that something like that would happen to him. Back in 1969, they were guests on Playboy After Dark and someone (not them) laced the coffee with LSD. Hugh Hefner and the crew were taking an acid trip, making the show really interesting.
Not only did he talk about that, he also explained why The Dead isn’t in the Woodstock movie. Kreutzmann also shared what it was to like to march to a different beat when they played the Monterey Pop Festival back in 1967 between The Who and Jimi Hendrix.
With all of those stories he was telling, it is almost like how did the band become as iconic as they did. But they are more than a few stories, they are the band that defined a generation.

Don’t cut your interview with Danny Glover short!
May 21st, 2015 under TV News. [ Comments: none ]

Danny Glover was live via satellite with KTVU to talk about a APWU’s National Day of Action to protest USPS cutbacks and delays in mail service. Less than a minute into his interview, the anchor cut him off to tell him they were almost out of time. That interruption was a lethal weapon to ears, so he told her, “Well you should have given me more time, that is the first thing. OK. So why don’t you go on, if you don’t have the time then don’t bother. Just don’t give me two minutes. I am from the San Fransisco and Oakland, that is the least you could have done was given me more time. I am not somebody who is just moved by the waist side.” O
nce he was done ranting, he answered his question but in an unhappy tone. I can’t say I blame him. For a lot of celebrities it is a big deal to be interviewed by their hometown station. He was probably looking the most forward to talking to then and then Tori Campbell rudely cut him off almost as soon as he started talking. But in her defense, you only get so much time on sat interviews and their is only so much time in the newscast to dedicate to any story at any given time. So next time, a peaceful solution for the two would be just do it live to tape and he won’t know that you abruptly cut him off.

After an amazing 33 years and 2 networks, David Letterman said “Thank you and good night,” for the very last time yesterday on The Late Show. The talk show ended its legendary run in a way that proves why late night will never be the same without him. It was a pure class, lots of laughs and even a few tears. So sit back and watch the magic happen in a way that only he could make work.
Thank you David Letterman, and I know this is not good night…with a little luck that is!

Sting is a d!ck to James Corden with every breath he takes
May 21st, 2015 under James Corden, The Police. [ Comments: none ]

James Corden flew to NYC to pay tribute to David Letterman and he asked Sting to serenade the now retired talk show host with him. The two of them sat outside The Ed Sullivan Theater while Sting sang The Police’s biggest (and worst hit) Every Breath You Take. As soon as the CBS Late Late Show host started to rap, the singer shut him down. Then when JC started to actually sing the ballad, Sting told him, “It’s not working. It’s too loud. I’m singing the song and you’re doing this dumb thing…Do something but make sure no one hears it. Particularly me.” Finally, the two of them harmonized the chorus together. Then it was time for the Corden to go and he left Sting a tip. A whole $1. So now we know what the C stands for in CBS, Cheap! The BS, we already knew…
I don’t know what I appreciated most about this video, (what I am presuming to be) Stings true colors showing through or the fact that someone put Corden in his place and let him know the bits are not only about him. Hmmmm!
Even though Sting was a d!ck to him, Justin Bieber was much nicer to him when they did Carpool Karaoke. Even though this bit went on 5 minutes too long, it was his best one of the series.
