Thirteen months after Valerie Harper announced that she had a rare form of terminal brain cancer, she told Closer Magazine that she is cancer-free. Even though doctors told her cancer was incurable, she beat the odds. They’re just as happy about the results as she is.
A year ago she was given just months to live, and now her doctors don’t want to see her for another 2 months.
What a miraculous story and so inspirational too.
UPDATED: Valerie Harper was doing press today for her 2 episode arc on Hallmark’s Signed, Sealed, Delivered that airs starting this Sunday at 8- and she wanted to clarify the story that appeared in Closer Magazine. The actress said, “In response to a recent erroneous quote concerning my health, I am not ‘absolutely cancer-free.’ I wish I were. Right now what I am is cautiously optimistic about my present condition and I have hope for the future.â€

On May 15th, all 11 hosts of The View will share the same stage to say goodbye to the retiring Barbara Walters. That’s right, journalist Meredith Vieira, lawyer Star Jones, comedian Joy Behar, television personality Debbie Matenopoulos, journalist Lisa Ling, comedian Rosie O’Donnell, and cable news host Elissabeth Hasselbeck will join Sherri Shepherd, Jenny McCarthy, Whoopi Goldberg and Barbara Walters, will all be together for one memorable event.
There is only one more daytime host they need to be part of the panel that day, and that person is Jerry Springer. I really hope the reunion isn’t all lovey dovey and all those old rivalries come back to haunt them.
I have never seen a full episode of The View, but I will be watching this one. Will you be watching too?

And Glee wonders why its ratings are down big time? |

Glee opened up tonight’s episode with this vintage like instructional video on STDs and it just got worse from there. So if Fox and Glee are wondering why their ratings are down higher than Chris Colfer’s voice gets with each episode, it is because they’re doing episodes like this one. It’s like they are trying to do those Very Special sitcom episodes, that were popular towards the end of last century, every week. Only problem it is 2014 and Glee is not a sitcom. That, and they all feel so forced and not as natural as those shows were back then.
BTW am I the only one who hates hates hates all the self narrations?
On a positive note, at least there is only one more season of this torture. It’s like How I Met Your Mother and Desperate Housewives all over again. Just end already.

Before Billy Bob Thorton was selling things at Pawn Shops (I assume) in Bad Santa, he was a Pawn Shop dealer on Matlock. He looks the same now as he did when he was 31 in that 1987 episode.
