White Collar’s future unclear? |

White Collar ended its season with yet another nail biting cliffhanger two weeks ago and we might not find out what happens next. According to Deadline, talks for the new season have stalled between the studio and network. Both agree that the 6th season should be its final one, but the question is how many episodes will the show get to say goodbye. Fox TV Studios wants the drama to have a full season sendoff, but USA wants it to be a short miniseries. While both sides debate what should happen, the writing staff and the crew have moved on to other projects. So when the network and studio finally do come to some sort of agreement, production of the final season will be delayed.
Personally, I don’t get why USA ends successful shows to save money because they are getting older and costlier. I think shows like Monk, In Plain Sight, Psych and now White Collar could have gone on for many more years and still have given them good numbers. To be honest, I am not enjoying their newer shows as much as I enjoy the ones that they have cancelled prematurely. Hopefully they will stop this madness because if they don’t, I have a feeling Royal Pains will also be getting a final season this year, and that would be a shame.

Billy Ray Cyrus updated his hit Achy Breaky Heart with a rapper by the name of Buck 22 and I really don’t know what to say about their music video for it. I mean it is so weird, so f*cked up, basically it is just so awful. I seriously don’t know what I just watched, but I wish I could get the images out of my achy breaky head. They just won’t go away.

If you love love love Night of the Comet as much as I do, then you are going to love this picture of Regina and Samantha aka Catherine Mary Stewart and Kelli Maroney getting together yesterday to have Sushi. Don’t the big screen sisters look as good as they did in the movie that came out in 1984. Can you believe it has been nearly 20 years since that movie came out because they seriously look the same.
BTW Night of the Comet was released on Blu-ray in November, so you can own that collector’s edition to watch the apocalyptic film in HD whenever you want. Which should be every weekend!

Hugh Jackman hosted the Tonys from 2003-2005, Neil Patrick Harris has been doing them since 2009 (minus 2010) and this year the X Man is back as MC of Broadway’s biggest night. That’s right the Oscar nom will back to do the job this June 8th on CBS and I am so looking forward to seeing his song and dance numbers because they are always amazing.
Why NPH is not doing it this year is not known. I think it is because he is doing Hedwig and the Angry Inch on Broadway during that time and not because he no longer will have a show on CBS at the end of next month.
Maybe next year, Neil and Hugh can host the show together because it would be double the entertainment, double the fun.
