You say you want a Bret Michaels on Revolution |

Out of all the guest stars I could picture playing themselves on a show, Bret Michaels doing that on Revolution was not something I ever imagined. But that dream I didn’t know I was having, is turning into a reality because he will be playing himself on the post-apocalyptic drama on NBC later this season. All the press release says is that he will be playing Bret Michaels in the drama that takes place in the future. I can’t wait to see how they age him because they are going to have to put some years on the rocker. NBC also added that he will be performing an acoustic version of Poison’s hit Every Rose has It’s Thorn. Acoustic because, you know, there is no power on Revolution; so it is the only way he can perform the power ballad in a powerless time. As good as I am sure it will be, it can never top how Bill & Ted did it in Bogus Journey to enter heaven!
In other NBC news, Blacklist is the second new show from this season to get a second season pick up. The first was Fox’s Sleepy Hollow. Personally, I am surprised that NBC picked up the show before its Voiceless run next month. I mean, what if it totally bombs without its powerhouse of a lead-in? It won’t, but what if does?

A tale of two Beverly Goldbergs! |
December 3rd, 2013 under The Goldbergs. [ Comments: 1 ]

As we all know, The Goldbergs is based on the show creator Adam F Goldberg’s childhood. Well his childhood and his adulthood came together when his real mom, Beverly Goldberg, met Wendi McLendon-Covey, who plays his mom on the hit ABC sitcom that airs Tuesdays at 9p. Although the above picture is when they first met, it isn’t the first time they have talked. The fake Bev recently said in an interview that the real Bev sends her some of her old clothes from the ’80s. I don’t know about you, but I would love to have any of the rejects because she really does have a totally rad fashion sense!
This photo of the two Beverly Goldbergs together totally brought a huge smile to my face, just like the heartfelt hilarious show does every week. If you have never seen The Goldbergs, then you are missing out one of the greatest comedies of the new millennium. So tune in tonight and every Tuesday at 9p for a family sitcom that really is the perfect amount of heart and humor.
Now when it comes to the real Beverly Goldberg, isn’t she gorgeous? She could totally play herself on TV because she is that beautiful. Although Wendi McLendon-Covey is pretty gosh darn perfect in that role and looks just like her. My dad like totally has a crush on Wendi and once he sees this picture, he will have a crush on both Bevs! Oy!

This fan was willing to shave his head to hear Pearl Jam do Brian of J! |

How many times have you gone to a concert and wish they would play your favorite song, but after the final encore you realize they are just not going to do it. How far would you go to have that band perform that tune?
Well in Spokane, Washington, on Saturday, one fan was willing to let Eddie Vedder shave off his really long dreadlocks if was able to headbang to Brian of J one last time. Well Pearl Jam obliged and off went one dreadlock at a time. And now that guy can tell his friends that he had his head shaved by Eddie Vedder as he rocked out to his favorite song live. Just like each dreadlock has a story, so does he about how he lost his long hair.
BTW if this music thing doesn’t work out for Vedder, he could so get a job as a barber. He seemed like a natural as he sawed off each dread.
Finally, didn’t he look so much better once all of those locks were on the stage!

Billy Joel is movin’ in to Madison Square Garden! |

Every state has its musical Big Shot they support with all of their heart; California has The Eagles, Florida has Gloria Estefan, Massachusetts has Aerosmith, NJ has Bruce Springsteen and Bon Jovi, and NY has Billy Joel. The premiere location for any band/singer to play in NYC is Madison Square Garden and The Piano Man announced today that he has set up permanent residency at the arena. His first show at his new home is January 27, 2014 and it is sold out. In fact the next 3 shows on February 3, March 21, April 18 also are sold out. The first show that we can get tickets to is on May 9, 2014, his 65th birthday, and from that date on he will be playing MSG once a month as long as we want him to or For The Longest Time.
According to press release since he first performed there back in 1978, he has played 46 shows there. When he becomes a senior citizen, it will be his 50th show. Do know how many musicians would die for the opportunity to play the NYC landmark just once and he will do it over 4 dozens times before he start collecting social security. Who knows how many more times he will be singing Uptown Girl in downtown Manhattan? More than a parent tells their kid Don’t Ask Me Why again. No Pressure, no pressure at all for The Entertainer, who has had his music turned into a Broadway musical and a whole episode of Glee dedicated to his tunes.
If you have never seen Billy Joel live or seen a concert at MSG, I highly recommend you get tickets to see him there. They will be available for pre-sale on December, 4th. I have seen him live 4 times and I would see him again and again even though he tried to hit me over the head with a mic stand. He really puts on a show for everyone to enjoy! So save up to see him live at MSG, it is well worth the money!

All the Glee originals are invited back for the 100th episode! |

Glee is prepping to film their 100th episode and Ryan Murphy just Tweeted we will be seeing some familiar faces when it airs on March 18th. He said, “ALL The Glee Originals received invites today to be in our 100th episode! More to follow.” Does that mean they will RSVP yes? We will just have to wait to find out. I really hope that they are all back because I miss our original Glee Club.
Since the fans are helping to pick what songs are performed and remixed for that episode, I am sure they will find a way to honor Cory Monteith somehow. His version of Greg Laswell’s version of Cyndi Lauper’s Girls Just Want to Have Fun is one of my all-time favorites from the show first 99 episodes. Which song do you remember most? And who do you want to see come back to the Fox musicomedy?
UPDATE: Ryan Murphy confirmed that Amber Riley, fresh off her Dancing with the Stars win, is the first original who will be back for the 100th episode. Mark Saling will also be back for the centennial episode.
