CBS has finally joined NBC (Revolution, Go On, The New Normal), Fox (The Mindy Project, Ben & Kate) and The CW (Arrow) and picked up two of their new shows for a full season. The Eye network announced today that they ordered back 9 both Elementary and Vegas. Vegas is the #1 new show of the season and Elementary is #2 according to them. Although CBS is the second to last network to pick up a show for a full season (c’mon ABC we need more The Neighbors), they were the first to kill a new show (Made in Jersey). So of the 4 news shows from CBS only Partners is awaiting its fate. Why do I feel they will only air 13 episodes and then give that timeslot to Rules of Engagement the show that just won’t die, nor should it. I like Partners, but I can’t see where else they could put Rules. Can you?

Halle Berry was a guest on The Tonight Show and Jay Leno asked her about smoking pot with Tom Hanks. So she wanted to know if the NBC late night host ever got high with Mary Jane? He was very insistent that he is “not a pot smoker.” She asked him several times but he kept saying no as though it was the worst thing ever. In fact he told her he was always the designated driver while he friends enjoyed some grass.
I think in those :54 seconds we learned more why Leno is the way is than anything else we knew about him before. Maybe if he took an occasional hit and let loose, he would be a much more relaxed host and wouldn’t take the job that belonged to someone else like he has done in the past? And more importantly his voice might also be a little bit deeper.
I thought that Ellen DeGeneres has the top syndicated daytime talk show on TV and that she was doing very well financially. But I guess she has hit some rough times because she has a taken yet another job. Not only does she have Ellen, she’s the face of Cover Girl and producing Bethenny’s new show, well now she is getting in to the business of Topless Pool Girls. On her show she did not say if she was going to be one of the cleaners, but considering the fate of Portia De Rossi’s new show Mockingbird Lane, she might be able to put her to work?
Would you hire Ellen’s girls to clean your pool topless? I am sure several men will spend their day digging a hole in their backyard just to say that they have a pool that needs cleaning. And the ones who don’t will claim their bathtub is their pool.
Carrie Ann Inaba has done something that no judge on Dancing with the Stars has ever done, she fell out of her chair. She was so excited by Giles Marini’s dance that she couldn’t even stay her in seat after declaring “Let the baby making begin!” Sadly the cameras were not on her when she slipped off the side of her chair, but they were there to see her lying on the floor laughing her a$$ off.
Not only was it hysterical to see her on the floor, it was funny to see how people reacted to it. Len Goodman who was sitting next to her did nothing but laugh at her. Bruno Tonoli initially went to help her, but then he too broke down in laughter. Giles Marini being the French man that he is, ran to her aid and helped her up. While Tom Bergeron stood by his side to make sure she was OK. When it was all done, Bruno fell down on the table hoping Giles would comfort him too. He obliged with a big kiss on to the not Still Standing judge’s forehead.
Who knew a judge falling off her chair will probably be the most talked about moment during the DWTS: All-Stars edition. And I hope the capitalize on it tonight and show the cameras that were focused on her when she fell. I want to see her face as she went down.
