On Monday Bones will be back with 7 new episodes to complete its seventh season and today Fox announced it will be back for an eighth one in the fall. Fox Entertainment President Kevin Reilly had this to say about the renewal, “Over the past seven seasons, Hart Hanson, Stephen Nathan and the incredible BONES cast and crew have redefined the traditional crime procedural with an irreverent and adventurous sensibility and I’m really happy to have this distinctive, fan-favorite on our schedule for another season.†Although the decision seems like a no brainer, the older a show gets the more expensive it costs and some networks decide to cancel the show instead of bringing it back. I am happy that Fox is paying to keep this show on the air because it hasn’t aged a day since its debut.
For years it has been rumored that Anchorman 2 is going to happen and today Rob Burgundy will announce on TBS’s Conan at 11p that the movie is officially a go. Since he just signed on the dotted line today, no other details are known but that doesn’t matter to all the fans that have been waiting anxiously for this movie to finally happen.
BTW am I the only who didn’t think Anchorman was all that?
UPDATE: Ferrell’s producing partner Adam McKay gave a little update on the sequel on Twitter by saying “A few people questioning if Anchorman 2 is 100% for sure happening. Let me assure and assuage: it is. We’re writing now and we shoot in Feb”.
Before Simon Pegg was Shaun of the Dead, he was a standup comedian doing his act on the BBC. He looks the same now as he did when he was 25 in that 1995 routine, but his hair is better now.
A few weeks ago Jimmy Kimmel made fun of Wichita, Ks being a Spring Break hot spot and today the city released a response video that is Wichitawesome.
According to The Wichita Eagle the video was made by the city manager’s office and was approved by the mayor. The city’s spokeswoman explained why they did the funny spoof, “Our goal was to produce a video that would appeal to his late night talk show television audience in the hopes of getting on national TV. … We just want to draw more attention to our city and show that we are a fun place, and we have a lot to offer.†I don’t know about you, but they sold me on visiting their city. Because any city that can outshine a very funny late night show in a response video is on my list of must-see destinations.
Now that you know how I feel about Wichita video, here is what Jimmy Kimmel said about it “thank you, #Wichita (I think…)”
