American Idol is down in the ratings this season, and it is being beaten by scripted shows like NCIS and The Big Bang Theory. So to get the viewers back, the singing competition is changing things up. The show will now be called ncAIs and not everyone is going to survive Hollywood Week. Jimmy Kimmel Live aired the exclusive promo for the show and I have to tell you Fox made the right choice because I will be watching it again.
Before Sandra Oh was a doctor on Grey’s Anatomy, she was a waitress in Degrassi High: School’s Out. She looks the same now as she did when she was 20 in that 1992 movie.
So you know how when tourists go to LA or NY they want to go to a taping of a show like NBC’s Late Night with Jimmy Fallon. Well Tom Kelly made the mistake of going to the NBC late night show yesterday. I say mistake because Fallon called him on to the stage, had him take off his shirt, made him lay down in a chair and await his fate. His fate was having Courtney wax a strip of his chest hair off as his now former-good-friend answered questions. The questions were so hard, that Tom suffered over and over and over and over and over again. Every time his friend got an answer wrong, Tom’s face showed what excruciating pain he was in. Even though the Jersey boy was suffering, Fallon, his friend and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Is that wrong that I love to watch men suffer as they their chests waxed?
Now every time I have gone to a late night show’s taping the audience suffered no pain…sadly. Maybe I have been going to wrong ones, next NY trip I am so going to his show. On that note I have to see if I can get tickets to Late Night for a friend of mine. Sadly she is a girl so the chest waxing doesn’t apply to her, but her ex-husband is a hairy jerk who deserves to suffer. What?
Tonight at 10:30p on FX’s Unsupervised Gary and Joel find out that they are in the dumb class, so they take on their school’s system so that they can be treated like all the other students. They get the kids in their class and the dumber class (yes there is one) and attempt to abolish academic segregation. Will they be smart enough to become equals or will they be on an even slower track at their high school. You have to tune in for the best and funniest episode of the season so far.
Seriously even though Unsupervised is an animated show, I could totally see what happened in tonight’s episode happening at a school near you.
