Today seems to be the day that a lot of summer cable shows found out their fate and for one of them the new wasn’t good.
Oxygen finally renewed last summer’s Jersey Couture for a second, but they are changing things up. This season they will highlight the glamour of fashion, Jersey style. As a New Yawker, I can’t wait see what “Jersey style” is all about.
While they are busy styling Jersey girls, Style has news that is twice as good because Tia and Tamara (formerly Mowry) will be back as we saw how motherhood changes one of them and married life the other twin.
While the news was doubly good from Style, it was triply good for USA who is bringing Covert Affairs, Royal Pains and Unnecessary Roughness for another east summer. I say we need a crossover episode, it can somehow happen. Maybe Annie gets shot, but doesn’t get better when Hank fixes her up. Once she is better she is afraid to fight crime, so Dr Dani has to get her back into action!!!
While those 5 shows found new life, The Nine Lives of Chloe King found out she doesn’t have any more. ABC Family pulled the plug on the show which started off great and then died faster than she did in each episode.
After all of this news, I want to know if it is summer already?
Before Thomas Dekker could make a tissue magically appear to wipe his nose on The Secret Circle, he needed someone to do it for him on The Nanny. How freaking awwdorable is the 5 year old in that 1993 episode!
Tonight at 9p on The CW, Kevin Williamson adapts another book series into a TV one and The Secret Circle is just as enticing as The Vampire Diaries that is on at 8p! Teenage Cassie and her mom are living a normal life when one day her mother dies in a house fire. Now she has to move to her mother’s hometown and live with her family there. Once she is there she has to fit in her new high school and little does she know she is already part of a Secret Circle, a group of teen witches who need her to complete their circle. Little by little they will all learn their true powers as a town that tried to bury their secret past of witchery will try to keep it that way.
The Secret Circle is the most beautifully shot pilot of the new season, and I am not just referring to the gorgeous cast that includes Britt Roberson, Thomas Dekker, Gale Harold and Natasha Henstridge. I am not sure what exactly about this show put a spell on me, but I do know I can’t wait to watch the next episode and the episode after that and so on!
Seriously the show doesn’t have to use it’s magic to get you addicted, it is just that good without casting a spell on you!
I don’t know what the writers of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia have been drinking, smoking, snorting and injecting while the show has been on hiatus, but this is the funniest season so far. Most shows start to weaken by their 7th season, but the FX show that is back tonight at 10p is stronger than ever!!!
On tonight’s season premiere Frank is ready to propose to a prostitute and the gang has to welcome her in. They actually met someone who is lower on the chain of life than they are and it is shockingly funny some of the stuff they do on tonight’s episode. Next week they actually make the cast of Jersey Shore look classy as they go there on vacation.
There are so many things coming up this season that will have you laughing so hard, I suggest wearing a diaper when you watch It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia on FX every Thursday at 10p!
