So I have been going through late night withdrawal this week because both Jimmy Kimmel Live and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson are in repeats. That was until I saw Jimmy Kimmel is on CBS’s The Late Show with David Letterman tonight at 11:35a and the two late night talk show host talk about their competition Jay Leno. It was great to see them continue to bash Leno for what happened to Conan O’Brien. I loved how Letterman said it was a lot of fun to bash Leno, granted he has been saving that up for years ever since Leno stole his job from him. And as much as Jimmy and Dave laughed at Jay, it is Jay who is laughing the loudest because for some reason he is still #1 in the ratings even after CoCoGate.
Disney’s newest classic The Princess and the Frog is available today as a Three Disc Blu-ray/DVD Combo with Digital Copy and it is a must have for anyone who has a child or is a big child. The movie is set in 1920’s New Orleans and that means there is some Voodoo involved! All Tiana wants to do is to open the restaurant that her father and her dreamed of, but money is stopping her from making that happen. Prince Naveen has come to New Orleans to find a bride, but instead meets Doctor Facilier a voodoo doctor who turns him to frog. The only way for him to become human again is to kiss a princess. While at a her best friend’s masquerade, Tiana makes a wish on a star and Prince Naveen appears. Looking like a Princess, he asks Tiana to kiss him but instead of turning him human, he turns her into a frog. Being frogs they get chased out of the party and the two begin a journey to become human again and along the way they befriend a jazz playing alligator and love smittened firefly. On the path to becoming human again they find so much more and we get several songs that will have us singing and dancing along with them for years to come!

Since I am old school, I only saw the DVD features and I felt like a big kid watching them and the movie. The deleted scenes are so cool because the writers introduce the pre-animated deleted scenes. It was so interesting to watch the storyboards telling the scenes and you get to see part of the animation process that is rarely seen. There is also a game where you have to guess which Disney Princess the fireflies are mapping out, and I found myself addicted to it. Also included is Ne-Yo’s music video that was filmed in modern day New Orleans and the city is as beautiful now as it was when The Princess and the Frog was set.
I am not the only one who thinks The Princess and the Frog is a must have, Tina Fey, Melissa Joan Hart, Audra McDonald and Nigel Barker all attended an event celebrating Princess Tiana officially being named the ninth member (the first African-American) of the Disney Princess Royal Court and the DVD release party in NYC over the weekend.
Betty White is coming back to weekly television this June in TV Land’s first sitcom Hot in Cleveland. Three other sitcom legends, Valerie Bertinelli, Jane Leeves And Wendie Malick are starring in the show as LA woman who find themselves in Cleveland when the plane they were on that was going to Paris makes an unexpected landing there. The Golden Girl will be playing the snarky but lovable Elka Ostrovsky, property caretaker of the home that the three women move into. With these 4 comedic geniuses starring in Hot in Cleveland on the network of classic shows, I can’t wait to see how this show turns out in June! It has Miss Betty White in it, what else do you need to watch it? Seriously who doesn’t love her?

The normally in tip-top shape Mark Wahlberg was seen not sporting the asset that made him a household name. But before you freak out and tell your mother that Marky Mark’s six pack abs are gone forever, take comfort in that fact that he is just packing on a few pounds for his upcoming movie The Fighter and will be back to his old self when the movie is done. At least I hope he will be!

Greg Kinnear was promoting his new movie The Last Song with Miley Cyrus and he got very expressive. No matter what face he is making, he is still cute to me! I will always love him because of the movie Sabrina, he was just so charming in that.
