Tara Reid found someone to marry her, scars and all. According to People Michael Axtmann proposed to her Monday night when the two were out having dinner, “Michael surprised Tara with a beautiful round brilliant cut ring. Tara was so happy, and the other patrons clapped and yelled out, ‘Congratulations.'”
The two have been dating for a year and plan to marry this summer. She will make a beautiful bride as long as she covers up her stomach.

Conan O’Brien reaches a $45 million deal with NBC
January 21st, 2010 under Conan O'Brien. [ Comments: none ]

Two weeks ago it was rumored that Jay Leno’s 10p show was cancelled and he would be moving back to his old timeslot of 11:35p thus leaving Conan’s future up in the air. Now we finally know what is going to happen to NBC’s Late Night, Conan O’Brien will leave The Tonight Show after signing a $45 million deal to exit. According to MSNBC Conan will get $33 million with his staff will get $12 million in severance, he will be allowed to return to TV in September (if anyone still wants him by then) and finally it is rumored that there was “non-disparagement clause” in the deal. I think the last one is the cruelest one, to ask a talk show host not make fun of the people, that well, f*cked him up the a$$.
So who are the biggest winners from this deal, Jimmy Fallon who will now get more viewers due Jay’s return (to find out he is not funny) and Carson Daly who gets to keep his show at 1:35a. Yes Carson is still on the air, that was the biggest thing we learned from the late night fiasco.
Tomorrow is Conan’s last day with NBC and Jay Leno will be back to his 11;35p on March first, hopefully Leno will book Will Ferrell as his first guest!!!
Now back to the other hosts, it is getting really bitter between Jay Leno and the other guy he forced out of a job…David Letterman. The two of them are now going below the belt to bash the other one, which makes me happy that the only two late night shows I watch are Jimmy Kimmel Live! and The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson!

Steve Harvey gets a new job, he is taking over for John O’Hurley as the host of Family Feud next season according to Broadcasting and Cable. I don’t know what is sadder that Family Feud asked Steve Harvey to host the show, or that he said yes? Seriously who knew this show was still on the air?

NBC’s scripted programs benefit from Jay Leno’s failure!!!
January 20th, 2010 under NBC. [ Comments: none ]

While everyone has been talking about Jay Leno and Conan O’Brien’s failure, there has been some good news for some of NBC’s programming due to it. Today NBC announced that they were ordering additional episodes from most of their scripted programs according to The Futon Critic!

Pickups bring their season totals to 20 for “Trauma” (four added); 23 for “Law & Order” (three added); 24 for “Parks & Recreation” (two added); 25 for “Community” (three added); and 24 for “Law & Order: Special Victims Unit” (two added).
As for the Peacock’s other scripted entries, “Mercy” and “Chuck” will film 22 and 19 installments, respectively, as previously announced.
Due later this year are multi-camera comedy “100 Questions” (six episodes); dramas “Parenthood” and “Persons Unknown” (13 episodes each); and the two-hour pilot to “Day One.”
And finally, network sources have also confirmed “The Office” has been asked for 25 episodes while “30 Rock,” due to its late start, is sticking with a standard 22-episode fourth season

I love that even though it looked like at Trauma was dead at one point and only going to live with the 13 episodes originally ordered from the network in the fall, it is now up to 20 with its second additional episode order. So please when it comes back on March 8th watch it and find out why this show keeps getting a second of chance life! Sadly though Heroes got f*cked with all the changes, since the show is ending its season in 2 weeks, NBC will not be ordering any additional episodes for this season…hopefully it will be back next season because Monday’s episode was absolutely amazing!
