The ensemble comedy Soapdish is being redone for Broadway as a musical according to Showbiz 411. Normally I hate when movies are remade for the Great White Way, but for some reason I think this one can actually work because it is zany enough for the stage!
I wonder who they will get to play all different characters in the show? Kevin Kline and Whoopi Goldberg do Broadway, so maybe they will reprise their roles? Although Showbiz 411 had a good suggestion how about using the soap actors from All My Children and Guiding Light who recently lost their jobs? Too bad Susan Lucci is moving to LA with AMC because she could’ve played herself on Broadway!!!
Normally an actor goes from starring on a soap to the big screen, but today on ABC’s General Hospital James Franco does the opposite. The Milk star is playing a photographer/artist who is stalking Jason Morgan. I know I should be excited about this because it is giving GH a lot of attention, but I really don’t care. It could be because GH has officially made me sick of one of my all-time favorite songs, Tears for Fears’ Mad World. Seriously can they please stop playing the song. It is beyond freaking annoying already. You got your money’s worth from the song, please move on. Maybe they can play a different song like the Spider-Man theme?

The eight stars/housemates of “Drawn Together” represent iconic archetypes from the world of animation and include: “Captain Hero,” a not-so-moral do-gooder reminiscent of the Saturday morning TV super heroes of the 70’s; “Clara,” a 20-year-old sweet and naive fairy-tale princess; “Toot Braunstein,” a black-and-white pudgy heart throb from the 20’s; “Foxxy Love,” a sexy mystery-solving musician; “Spanky Ham,” a foul-mouthed Internet download pig; “Ling-Ling,” an adorable Asian trading card mini-monster; “Wooldoor Sockbat,” a wacky Saturday morning whatchamacallit; and “Xandir,” a strong, young gay video game warrior. The characters left their animated “reality” and entered a new world where their cartoon universes collide with a bang, combining different styles of animation and different personalities, all “drawn together.” This was COMEDY CENTRAL’s first original animated series that was drawn traditionally and in 2-D digital ink and paint animation.
Before Peter Krause was driving around in a hearse on Six Feet Under, he stuck in a limo on Seinfeld. The 26 year old looks the same now as he did back in 1992 episode.
